Re: Ohio State vs. Michigan at Jacob's Field

From some sources I have within the ball park, BG was mentioned as a partner with OSU for the game. There are a number of BG alum within the Indians front office that were pushing for the game. From what I am hearing, it will be part of a revamped second edition of Indians Snow Days. That could be w...

Re: Markell out at OSU

I agree that he is an idiot. I had to deal with him at the rink I used to work at in C-bus. Didn't know if he was in a good or bad mood. But always appreciated his honesty and hearing him talk about his players with the guys he was playing with. He was still a good player to watch and could usually ...

According to a VERY Reliable AD Staff member, groundbreaking will take place this summer. There is $1 million left to be raised on the private funding aspect of this project. That is to start soon.

Unless the students and faculty decide to screw things up...

The best place to start is for fans, especially those in BG, Toledo, and NWO to BUY SEASON TICKETS. This is the most important foundation in all of sports. After that, sponsors, donors, students, the right coaches, and the right recruits will fall in to place.

For the record, Bob Sebo is from Salem, which is near Youngstown, and Kerm Stroh is from Wapakaneta (sp), which is an hour or so south of BG. I wouldn't exactly call either one local. But I will say that both have been involved as big time donors, trustees, and friends of the university. Both attend...

I saw the same thing. I thought with Tennessee playing in BG, we might narrow that deficit in a big way. A BIG WAY.

Not to often you get Pat Summit in your house.

If indeed it is in BG, KY, that makes sense. Western KY has a strong women's program and pretty good support.

One thing that is missing in all of the talk about hockey is the season ticket base. I was told today that there were only 300 season tickets last season (this does not include students, who pay a portion of their student fees towards athletics.) That's right, only 300. That isn't enough to support ...

Another advantage to a game in Columbus, or any other Non-MAC market for that matter, is that it might help the MAC teams get out from underneath the Big Ten shadow, whether it is in Columbus, Detroit, Chicago, or Indy, there is the presence of a MAC school or two within spittin distance of a Big Te...

I don't recall anyone complaining about playing OOC games as "home" games in Cleveland. BG, Akron, soon to be Toledo, have all played at CBS. From what I read, it is more geared towards OU, at least to start. There is a large Alumni Base of MAC grads in C-bus. 13,000 for BG alone. I do agr...

I highly doubt that Cartwright would pull the plug on hockey. She is only an interim Prez. More than likely, a full time Prez will be on board by late spring, early summer. Her focus is academics and rubber stamping student affairs, and also making the donors happy by keeping the ship level and movi...

Look for Luke Fickell to at least interview. He does have a BG connection... none other than Antonio Daniels. Both went to DeSales in Columbus. May have been classmates, or one or two classes apart. In C-bus, it was reported a couple of weeks ago that Fickell is the type that UT might go after. Now ...

OK, as I read all of the posts up to this point, I have to laugh. Many of you have called for GB's head over the last couple of weeks, but since he has been let go, you feel some sort of guilt? While he has a respectable record, he hasn't won enough in conference and it seems he has had players get ...

...and THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY BUCKEYES. Since OSU and Penn State shared the title with identical records in the Big Ten of 7-1. Since PSU beat OSU, PSU gets the automatic BCS berth, which is traditionally the Rose Bowl. However, OSU could, and probably will, end up in a BCS Bowl. They played well...

1. Games should be played Saturday's at 7pm. Every game but Homecoming. No more 4:00 games, no more noon games, no more Friday night games. 99 percent of all students come to BGSU either apathetic regarding college football or big fans of Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame or some other team from a B...
