Re: BG hosts CMU
Remember, Coach Fred has assistant coaches working for him. What are they doing to enhance the players’ skill sets. I’m not seeing any player improvement this season yet.

Re: BG hosts CMU
Agree to all of the above. We don’t have floor leaders like Velasco and Fleming anymore, and we need players like that to lead the pack. Unfortunately, we don’t have that type of player leadership on this team. Our team this year has some good talent, but it’s not great talent, and our depth is not ...

Re: BG hosts CMU
Indeed it was painful to watch. Falcon’s 2nd straight double-digit loss. Falcons’ 19 turnovers turned into 25 points for CMU. Yes, it was Moxey’s best game of the year, however she has a bad habit of dribbling the ball before she shoots a straight up layup. One example of a lack of fundamentals with...

Re: BGSU vs EMU
The main thing I noticed this year is that opposing players continually zip through our defense, right to the basket, either getting fouled for an “and one”, or an uncontested layup. I believe our bigs under the basket are slow to react to penetration, thus subjected to fouling or uncontested bunnie...

BGSU vs EMU
Falcons take one on the chin, losing to the Eagles 86-76. Falcons struggled offensively and defensively, as EMU pretty much imposed their will on the Falcons, especially beating BGSU to the basket all night long, enticing the Falcons to continually foul in the paint, while struggling to make layups ...

Re: 1/8 vs. Buffalo
I pretty much agree with all of the above. I believe we have very good talent on this squad, however it’s highly undeveloped, fundamentally. Granted, we have lots of young talent, but they all have undeveloped strengths and weaknesses. Donahue is good defensively, but cannot contribute offensively, ...

Wittenberg Exhibition
A very impressive win in the Falcons’ home exhibition game with Wittenberg. Erica Porter dominated the paint, and the rest of the players all contributed immensely in the 102-47 win. Five players scoring in double figures, and all 13 players who played, scored at least two points. That leads to my q...

Re: MAC Tournament Thread
I did not see the game either but according to the play by play she had foul trouble early.Picked up 2 in the first qtr and played just 4 minutes in the first half. Picked up her 3rd foul after 40 seconds of the third quarter and played just 2 minutes more that qtr. Then only played 3 minutes in th...

Re: MAC Tournament Thread
Another tough break for the Falcons. It’s sad to see so many injuries, especially to key players such as Lexi. From my perspective, no one stepped up their game through the season more than Amy Velasco. What a fierce competitor! I’ve watch this team all season long, and yes, at times, they were very...

Re: BG @ #16 Indiana
Last home game I noticed that besides Lexi, three other Falcons had not dressed, namely Jasmine Fearne, Emily Siesel, and Abbie Riddle. Is there any info on the the status of any of these three other players? In Lexi’s absence, someone will have to step up besides Morgan Sharps to help move this tea...

Re: BG @ #4 Iowa
In response to Diemilkweed, we are very fortunate to have Lexi Fleming on the team. I remember other who played with similar fire, such as Kate Achter, Lindsey Goldsberry, and Deborah Hoestra, to name a few. However, Lexi, in my opinion, plays with more fervor, hussle, and passion than any of those ...

Re: Tickets For Todays Game @ Toledo
After watching the Falcons put the defensive clamps on the Rockets, and building a 17-point lead with a mediocre-at-best offense in the third quarter, it’s like the Falcons were trying to sit on the lead rather than putting the petal to the medal and building the lead. Once their offense totally sta...

Re: Flash Weekend Battle
Just wondering if anyone knows the status of Morgan Sharps’ knee injury. Hoping it’s not season-ending, as she has worked so hard since coming to BG. She plays hard and is a very valuable asset to this team. Prayers for Morgan for a speedy recovery! Great, gutsy win over a very tenacious Golden Flas...

Re: @ Akron 1/14
What an awesome comeback, using grit and determination! It seemed as though the first three quarters, Akron controlled most aspects of the game. They basically imposed their will, but BG imposed theirs in the 4th quarter! I really believe that the Falcons’ depth wore down the Zips at the end. It see...

I was told she signed with Clemson.
