Re: BG vs UALR
Seattle Times reporter Jayda Evans wrote a few paragraphs about the game in her blog. Kind of important since she votes on the AP top 25 panel. Too bad she can't get Prochaska's first name right.

Congrats BG on Hosting 2012 NCAA Tournament
Probably old news to readers of this board, but I just became aware that BG will host a first round of the NCAA tournament in 2012. That's great news for the MAC. I've got my calendar marked for March 17-20, 2012. My only regret is that the games won't be played in AA, but maybe the new joint will w...

Re: Weak Article on Game
Here is Elton Alexander's exact quote: "The tournament is stuck one more year with the women also at The Q before MAC presidents decide to move to a site potentially more cost-effective (Toledo/Fort Wayne, Ind). That hopefully brings all the men's teams back to Cleveland for the entire event in...

Re: Weak Article on Game
The game article has been updated, and is a pretty good account of the game. Actually I think the Plain Dealer does a pretty good job of covering the women's side of the tournament, with quite a few sidebar stories and good photos. There's an article now up discussing Breske's game-changing block. h...

Re: Will Prochaska repeat as MAC poy?
There are players with better numbers than Prochaska and Mays, but they play for teams that aren't challenging for the division title. In conference play, Kourtney Brown of Buffalo is second in the league with 19.2 ppg, first in the league with 11.5 rpg, and first in the league with 2.82 blocks per ...

EMU coach AnnaMarie Gilbert said in the post-game interview that she hoped Curt Miller would soon get a chance to move to the "next level". Me too.

Ohio played Syracuse at the Carrier Dome in December and lost 67-62. The Orange weren't a huge team, but they had a lot of depth. They pretty much fired up shots at the first chance, and got a lot of them up (74) but only shot 28% overall, and 12% (3-25) from 3. Ohio outrebounded them by 10, but gav...

I saw BG play at Ohio (Ohio loss) and Ohio play at Ball State (Ohio win), and thought that BG was much the better team. BG has the ability to shut down the opposing offense, and I didn't see that with the Cardinals. Their defense relies a lot on Porchia Green pressuring the ball handler from three-q...
