President Cartwright to (Re)retire next year
Per the BGNews, President Cartwright will step down as President when her contract is up on June of next year. Not that big of a suprise, but at least we got the heads up. See the uber-specific url below: http://bgnews.com/updates/university-president-carol-cartwright-will-step-down-as-the-campus-le...

Falcons mentioned in Wall Street Journal
In today's Wall Street Journal, there was an article advocating for the NCAA basketball tourney to have 96 teams. Look to the sidebar to see where the falcons would land if 31 additional teams were added based on last year's NIT. Hint: Still not good :( http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748...

Re: Double-Headers
I was referring to the Falcon Be-Headings...what is the schedule for those? As far as I know, they have not been set. Falcon alums normally get some advance notice. When they have been set, I'll post it. BeHeading will be on the 27th! With the triple-header, it also might be unmasking for SICSIC, b...

Top Ten Play on ESPN
Freddie's one-handed touchdown catch made number 9 in the Top Ten plays from Friday. Always good to get more publicity!

The relative distortion you are seeing in this map is due to it's projection, or in other words the two-dimensional depiction of the earth's surface relative to it's three-dimensional reality. In this case, the map is presented Mercator projection, which is a cylindrical representation of the earth...

Re: Canadian Studies
Thought about posting this on the hockey section because of the obvious link, but I decided to put it here. As we all know, so many great programs are threatened by the current budgetary hard times. Canadian Studies is one of these. As a faculty member, my career has been aided tremendously by the ...

Off with their (bird) heads!
I know most of you don't need an extra inducement to see our basketball team, but Freddie and Frieda will get beheaded at halftime of the game tomorrow. For those you of making the doubleheader, the other pair will get beheaded during the first intermission of the hockey game. This year's brids have...
