Surprising. Those WNIT games used to be buyouts. If they still are, guess BG came up with more $ than Florida.

Re: Before giving Loeffler any extension…..
Unless it's the very rare situation when a MAC schools gets a major bowl game, the lower bowls are losers for MAC schools. They are required to sell a certain number of tickets, which rarely occurs, and then they have to eat the cost of the remainder.

The Block's also own a number of TV stations. They're doing the same thing at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the dominant paper in steel town.

Re: Coach Huger
What errors on roster construction? This seems like a very talented group I think this does look like a talented group and the incoming recruiting class looks to be a big step in the right direction. My complaints have long been that every year we seem to have had 3 posts who could do nothing beyon...

A few years ago The Blade wrote they were losing $11 million per year. Of course, they make their money from TV stations and cable TV/internet.

Well, she wouldn't be able to recruit only white players anymore.zete wrote:If hired, Robin would need to bring better players to BG than what she has recruited to Ashland. Can she do that?

That's crazy. Who would fire a coach that has won the last two Big 10 championships?gmartin wrote:Yes this is just a message board but after CMU dismantled Ohio State well they are calling for their coach to be fired and they go after Fralick. Her name is definitely on the map among hot college coaches.

Re: Looking for a coach?
There are plenty of assistant coaches who work for successful head coaches who completely run the program. When the assistant gets a head job, they fall flat on their face because they had nothing to do with their previous program's success.

Re: Interesting stat from our AD
I think a lot of people are taking the AD's comments in entirely the wrong way. The thought was we need to find additional ways to raise money from sources OUTSIDE, such as corporate sponsorships, private donations, and other NEW sources of revenue. I think he was trying to let us know where his ef...

Re: Welcome to Rock Bottom
Liked the interaction theTV crew picked up on the sidelines I'm not a fan of what we've been getting from the American Sports Network. In particular, yesterday's crew seemed really ill-informed. They kept forgetting what down it was. They criticized the kick after the Zimmerman (?) touchdown as a p...
