Re: Garry Galley makes a stand

http://www.Hockeydraftcentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; says this about Galley:

"Left Bowling Green after his junior year to pursue pro hockey career, but remained enrolled at the school and completed his degree during off-seasons of early NHL career. "

Anniversary Date?

Nice write-up on the season, and great to hear the mp3 of the final call. What is the actual anniversary date of the national championship game?

Administration

This point has probably already been made, but I like how the administration just sits back and states that the hockey team lost a lot of money, as if they had nothing to do with it. We taxpayers, and moreso the students, pay the salaries of these administrators to effectively manage the university,...

Renovations

I wrote a fairly lengthy email to Mr. Christopher several days ago that explained my displeasure with the general downward direction of the hockey program and a plea for a greater emphasis on hockey from the University. He replied to me fairly quickly and stated that renovations for the ice arena ar...

Rodgers

I went to BG and in fact spent most of my time in Rodgers when the '96 fire occurred. I recall the young lady who was responsible was quite villified by her neighbors who lost some of their possessions, etc. in the fire. I don't recall any other major fires though during that time period. By the way...

Architecture

I tried posting this the other day, but I guess it didn't go through. I'm all for daring designs, but I'd really like to see new buildings on campus match the original architecture -- the Eppler annex did a pretty good job of this. I think the campus would look much nice if East and Olscamp, for exa...

90s

Here's what i can remember from the mid-90s. I haven't seen any on-campus memories on here, but Amani Down Under (in the basement of the Commons cafeteria) had the best peanut butter milkshakes. Buying beer with your meal card at the Union's bowling lanes was always fun. Off campus, I remember Club ...
