Kerm Stroh
I was saddened to read that Kerm Stroh, who donated millions to have the Stroh arena built, has died. Good man, dedicated so much to the university, former member of the board.
Sad day for the university.

Re: @ Mississippi State (9/24)
Two nights in the hospital. 24 hours away from something far more serious. Unable to travel. Wow, I hope Loeffler is okay. That sounds awful.
At least the news that Robinson is back should cheer him up. I hope the team plays out of their minds for their coach.

Re: @ Mississippi State (9/24)
How to keep this game as something other than a 5+ possession blowout ... - weather the early storm. No doubt MSU will have at least one pre-scripted drive. They'll score some early points. Just like Marshall did. Don't give just because its ugly early. - be smart about blitzes. Bring pressure but n...

Re: @ Mississippi State (9/24)
4 quick notes after watching those highlights ... - Mississippi State got out to an early lead largely based on LSU mistakes. When LSU cleaned up their play, they cruised. Maybe Mississippi State isn't all that good (though still easily an athletic level beyond anyone in the MAC) - the starting RB i...

Re: @ Mississippi State (9/24)
If this game is anything other than a blowout, I'll be pleasantly surprised. The athletic mismatch in will be stark in Starksville along with the heat and humidity. Additionally, Mississippi State just coughed up a good lead against LSU and is probably looking at this game as an opportunity to get b...

Re: Coaching carousel
I didn’t say it was pure luck. I further quantified it, for those that would clearly take it wrong. I tried to suggest the wins VS big programs, VS losses against bottom feeders is luck/bounce of the ball, not a quantifiable trend. I certainly did not diminish the win. I truly don’t care if SL stay...

Re: Coaching carousel
It's not just globe. You've got bunch of people including an overt parent of a player saying the win was just luck. That's the first thing you take away from that win? Not how hard the team played? Not how clean they played? Not the offense that kept hitting downfield pass after downfield pass for t...

Re: Coaching carousel
BG springs one of the biggest upsets of the early season. Beats a team that is the national darling after upsetting Notre Dame. A clean, turnover free game in front of a great crowd. And your first post is to come in here and ask for a new coach? B*tch when we lose, b*tch when we win. Seriously, som...

Re: Coaching carousel
Going into this year I figured another bad FSU season meant Norvell would be out and Deion Sanders would take over. But with FSU off to a good start, I have to wonder if Auburn assuming they coach shop soon would be interested in Sanders.

Re: Coaching carousel
I've long thought that Lance Leipold should be the next head coach at Iowa when Ferentz retires. So if Nebraska hires Leipold, that would be as good of a hire as anybody short of Urban Meyer.

Re: The Mysterious Case of Coach Loeffler and The Shocking Upsets!
He has 8 wins. 37.5% are shock upsets. I'm not sure I've ever seen a percentage like that.

Re: Past and Future Opponents (& MAC Talk)
Through three weeks I think the top two MAC plays both came yesterday. Hillaire's insane catch to tie it, and this ludicrous punt by Akron - https://youtu.be/LGNlyRYkF-8. Which might be something to consider given BG's tendency to punt block.

Re: Past and Future Opponents (& MAC Talk)
EMU may have ended Herm Edwards' tenure if the NCAA investigation didn't. And who would have thought going into the season the conference's two best non conf wins would come from ... EMU and Bowling Green?

Re: Marshall -18 at Bowling Green
How to beat Marshall .... - no turnovers - no bad snaps - TDs and not FGs in the red zone - no ill time penalties - slow but not necessarily stop the run - slow down the offense which did more damage to ND than the CJ Stroud led Buckeyes did - no letting the Marshall offense off the hook when they'...
