Re: out of confrence football GAMES

Agreed. Not to mention it's nice to actually have a good chance at winning the games.

Re: Terrible story out of Alabama

This story doesn't surprise anyone who's lived in the south, it's par for the course in SEC country. They take this stuff way too seriously.

Re: Conference realignment benefitting us

It didn't happen, and I really don't see it happening in the future with the way the Big 12 situation played out. The Big 12 situation if far from stable and it's going to blow up again. There's now an even bigger discrepancy of money distribution between Texas and Kansas, Missouri, KSU, ISU than t...

Re: Conference realignment benefitting us

PS, every post in here seems to indicate that it is inevitable and we have nothing we can do. There really isn't anything we can try? Adding some bigger name schools, adding some bigger market schools, adding some D2 schools. Just seems like we should do something and not let everything be dictated...

Re: Conference realignment benefitting us

I agree none will be able to turn down the money. The threat and some hold out may drive the payday up though. Wouldn't work. The BCS schools know we need that game so what leverage would a non-BCS school have? They can say take it or leave it and we're really left with no choice. If you turn it do...

Re: Conference realignment benefitting us

Academically, that works. But the reality is, the Have Nots need those money games. BG cannot afford to just pass them up, nor can most any other non-BCS conference school. Bingo! It's not realistic, we need them WAY more than they need us because we need the payday. You'd never get all the non-BCS...

Re: RUGBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And we lose to Utah 14-10 in the last 30 seconds... we were the first game to air on the broadcast!! We drop to 1-2, which I assume means we are done for the tournament. Still, it's exciting to see BGSU and our rugby program get this kind of great national exposure! If they're 1-2 I guess that mean...

Unless Terrelle Pryor doesn't play I would have to agree. OSU looks to be loaded in 2011.

Re: TSUN

To think that enrolling one subjective 4-star Big Televen cast off will suddenly turn that dismal program into a juggernaut is ludicrous at best. Let's see if he can stay eligible. If Minnesota, a program that's taken some chances on kids with academic issues in order to try and build the program u...

Re: Ohio State to open 2010 on a Thursday night?!?!

If this wasn't a season opener on Labor Day weekend then I doubt you'd ever see this happen. There's occasionally been Big Ten teams opening during the week for the season opener, but after week 1 they don't play during the week and I wouldn't count on that changing any time soon. Don't know why thi...

When did he retire? He's currently Tampa Bay's best receiver and when healthy is still pretty darn good, if only he had a QB that could get him the ball.

Re: I hate the BCS

bgsukid, I'll agree with you on ONE point only..re: Fiesta folks "selection process". But saying that this is better than the OLD system, simply because the BCS was FORCED to allow a poor non BCS team into the mix is a bit much. Be honest, if they hadn't been forced to change to allow a h...

Re: I hate the BCS

Peope need to be upset with the Fiesta Bowl committe not the BCS for this happening, they're the ones who selected the matchup. If the Fiesta Bowl would've taken Iowa instead of TCU with it's first pick then we probably would've gotten GT vs TCU and Iowa vs Boise. Since the Fiesta Bowl had the last ...

Mark Ingram is going to look GREAT in Brown and Orange next year for the Browns! Too bad he'll be out of the league by 2012 due to injury because he'll have no line to protect him. Ingram's a true soph so you'll have to wait two years before he suffers NFL career suicide by being drafted by the Bro...
