Yeah, I think whatever he said that got him booted from the Toledo station was what got him hired at WLW. I've met/worked with him on a couple of occasions and he is one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.

I don't know if you guys ever listen to WLW at night, but Scott Sloan is on every night from 9 to midnight... he happens to be a BG grad. I highly recommend his show.

Back to lurking... :)

You think a clear coat will help keep the bags from sliding? I was afraid it would make them slide more. My only concern is smearing the decals when I apply the clear coat. I was considering a spray-on clear coat to try and avoid that possibility, but I'm not sure how that would come out. Any advice...

How I Prepared for Tonight's Big Game

I Falconized my cornhole! Wait... that sounded bad. I don't post around here very often, but I thought this was a worthy occasion. An acquaintance works for some graphics company, and was able to print these logos on high-quality adhesive sheets. I managed to dig up the PDF file that the university ...

She got lucky with the laproscopic. I had appendicitis in March. When the doc went in to remove my appendix, he was unable to find it. (Apparently it's fairly common for the appendix to move as it swells.) He had to open me up and search for the thing before he could take it out. (I have since had v...

Having experienced a torn ACL, I cannot imagine trying to play football on it. ACL injuries can create a false sense of security as time passes. It can feel perfectly healthy during normal walking, but as soon as side-to-side or twisting motions come into play, the knee can give out in a heartbeat. ...

Yeah, the trip home was a little exciting, but we managed to make it. We flew out of Pensacola at 1:50 (50 minutes late), landed in Charlotte at 4:15, left Charlotte at 7:00 (3 hours late) and landed in Dayton at 8:30. We had to wait on the runway for almost an hour before a gate opened up. Our car ...

I got to meet the legendary Noah!

I have joined the minions of faithful Falcons who have had the privilege and honor of meeting Noah and 87Alum. My wife and I were near them at the parade, and then had a chance to hang with them for a bit during the pep rally. Noah was clearly pumped, as I understand he always is, and we enjoyed the...

Snakeman,...aka Blue, has been going to games religiously for a lot longer than that :D Not sure exactly how long, but he was in Fresno for the Raisin Bowl in 91 and was in Vegas in 92 and was rarely, if ever, missing games back then either. He had the beard and the rattlesnake hat then. I wonder h...

Happy Birthday To Me!!

Happy Birthday to Me, Goin' to the GMAC! My wife rocks, I'm completely shocked, Who'll party with me? So I got the news this weekend that my wife set up the whole trip to surprise me for my birthday (which just happens to be this Wednesday). I had an opportunity to play in a "Battle of the Badges" paintball tournament this weekend - police vs. fire. BUT I have to go to Evansville, Indiana to visit my wife's extended family. :(

At least BG is off this weekend and I won't be missing a game.
