Re: Prochaska projected as 3rd round WNBA draft pick
The Seatlle Storm opportunity is ideal for Prochaska. The Storm's coach Brian Agler knows Prochasksa well; he visited BG in pre-season. He has also seen her play in person a few times. Maybe Prochaska can land a roster spot as a 3pt specialist if her defense is good enough?

quick thoughts on next season
The better team won. Too many athletes. That's all. Now, on to next year. Steffen, I, believe, can be a foundation to build on. She should be a 15 ppg player. Havel will be an upgrade at the center spot. Papenfuss looks to have good ability and strength. After that, there are alot of unknown quantit...

Re: Georgia Tech
GT certainly has plenty of size on their roster, something in which BG has in short supply(pun) The Falcons must shoot a high percentage to have a chance. They can't afford the poor shooting like in the MAC tournament and still expect to win. Let's hope senior leadership and great 3pt shooting can ov...

Re: MAC tourney and injuries
On the thread about today's game against Miami, there is alot of talk about resting Prochaska more or even not playing her at all in the final game. I agree. And I hope Coach Miller will give the idea some serious consideration. The MAC tournament is all that matters.

MAC tourney and injuries
With the all-or-nothing MAC tournament approaching, is anyone concerned about Prochaska's and Pontius' ailments while playing in a 3 consecutive day scenario? With Prochaska not able to practice fully because of her foot issue, I'm worried she won't be able to make it through the tournament.Coach Mi...

Conference tournaments
I realize this topic is a dead horse that's been beaten before, but it is that time of year so..... The past three months have been played just for seeding for the conference tournament and I am not fine with that. Conferences such as the MAC and so many others that usually just get one team in the ...

Re: Will Prochaska repeat as MAC poy?
Yep. Brown and Szunko certainly have the numbers, but unfortunately for them, team won-loss records do play a big factor

Will Prochaska repeat as MAC poy?
I think she has a chance to repeat this award but it is not as easy a call as last season. BG was so dominant in the league and Prochaska had big, memorable games against good teams. Toledo's Tamika Mays probably has just as good a chance as Prochaska does this season. Can anyone else sneak in and g...

Prochaska shooting woes
After 3 games, Prochaska is 9 of 36 from the field. Is it possible she is still feeling the affects of her illness last month? She's got to heat up pretty soon right?

Prochaska returns to the Schott
Sunday afternoon won't be Lauren's first time playing in the Ohio State's Schottenstein Center. She played there as a high school frosh and junior in the state tournament. Her second trip resulted in a championship. Let's hope she has a similar ending Sunday. I've heard that OSU recruited Prochaska f...

I started a topic a few weeks ago stating my disdain for all conference tournaments and asking other posters to give any good competitive reason they should exist. I think the posters on this topic now understand my way of thinking. BTW, shouldn't conferences want their best team to represent their ...

Give me a good argument for conference tournaments
Honestly, from a competition perspective, I can not think of one good reason to have conference tournaments. The teams have 3 months to sort out who the best teams are, why give them a "second chance" Mid-major conferences that typically only get one team to the big NCAA tourney should wan...

There is no beauty in the conference tournaments. The team that proves itself over the long 3 month grind of the regular season is the team that should go to the big NCAA tourney. Conference tournaments make no sense for mid-major conferences. And for big conferences, they usually turn out to be sup...

Is the MAC champion the team who wins the regular season or the team who wins the conference tournament? Or is there two MAC champions? Conference tournaments are a ridiculous way to determine the automatiac qualifier anyway. BG can win all the consecutive games and if some weak team like Buffalo ge...
