Re: Madness

flaunt stacks of cash at these kids. That's my biggest beef. Kids. These kids are too young to generally be responsible with that kind of money. NIL <-> player contracts Transfer portal <-> unrestricted free agency CFB is just minor league football now. Better to just admit that. Just go ahead and ...

Re: Richaun Holmes

Imagine what he could have done at BG with a decent coach. That 2012 team should have easily won MAC.

97.3, 87.5, 88.3, 83.3/40.9, 45.7, 38.5, 41.7, 43.8

The current free throw percentages of our top four scorers and the three point percentages of our top 5 scorers. I could get used to this.

Re: vs. Buffalo (12/6)

80.8% on FT for the season. I can't believe how enjoyable it is rooting for a team that can hit its free throws. 38.1% from three is nice as well.

Re: @ Appalachian State (11/30)

I missed the first part of the game, but Swingle kills them when he's out there. He rebounds way smaller than his size, can't defend, clogs the lane on offense, and doesn't have great hands. At least twice he badly failed to box out on free-throws and got bailed out by the player making the shot. Hu...

Re: 2020 Schedule

I'm not sure I've ever wanted BG to beat a non-conference opponent as much as I want them to beat Liberty.

Re: @ Ball State (2/15)

A win is a win, but just going by the box score after the game there were definitely a lot of red flags. It didn't seem like anybody other than Juice is stepping up to make up for Fry's production and only 8 assists?! (and only 2 from non-Turner players?!)

Re: Door Still Open For Durkin?

Here we go again folks. A linebackers coach is needed. Forget mercenaries like Hermann who basically gave the program the middle finger. Michigan fans hated him and I can see why. Bring in a top flight coach who loves BG and whose only crime is acting too much like Urban Meyer for a bunch of soft p...

Re: Lamenting the state of MAC basketball...

Yes almost every team having an NBA journeyman on the roster is by definition better then having no NBA talent, journeymen or otherwise. The 115 mph race car loses it's race by more than the 70 mph car so again, it is by definition a worse race car. This isn't nostalgia, its data.

Re: Lamenting the state of MAC basketball...

The point is that basketball is a team game. No, the MAC teams of late haven't had a tiny handful of random NBA players that found limited minutes at the next level but that doesn't mean the quality of play or talent as a whole is worse due to this. If the NBA was the sole measurement as you posit ...

Re: Door Still Open For Durkin?

I can't see any possible upside to hiring Durkin, I don't want him anywhere near the program.
