Re: Eddie George hired

Eddie George played his high school football through 10th grade at Abington High School where both of my daughters graduated from in the 90's. Abington's nickname is the Galloping Ghosts, named for Red Grange who visited Abington when he was at his peak.

Re: Upcoming Total Eclipse - NW Ohio

Today, I am flying to St. Louis from Philly to see the total eclipse. I will be meeting up with family members who live in southern Illinois where we will be on the line of totality. This will be my 2nd total eclipse I saw. The first was March 7, 1970. I was in Norfolk, VA to see that one.

Re: That was completely rude and uncalled for

Point Park is in downtown Pittsburgh. I have been there a few times. Carlow is right next to the University of Pittsburgh, who BG should play. I drove past Carlow in the early 2000's when I took my daughter to Pitt.

Upcoming Total Eclipse - NW Ohio

Monday, April 8, 2024, after we celebrate our Frozen Four appearance (you won't be able to see it in St. Paul, MN), the next total eclipse will pass directly over Bowling Green, Ohio. The edge of the path touches Toledo to the north, and Cincinnati to the south.

Re: Notre Dame

As far as bars to visit, I have heard that the Linebacker Lounge, across the street from ND, is a good place to go.

Re: Coaching carousel

Miami is paying Temple $4 million to sign Diaz, so I suspect they will have lots of cash to pay NIU.

A Vicious Cycle Blog

Congratulations to U.S. Army Sgt. Sarah Lee, BGSU class of 2009, on just completing her 4,300 mile bicycle ride from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast. The BGSU website had a nice article about her trip a few months ago and her blog has made for very interesting reading.

Re: Home Opener Announcement

I doubt you would get many fans dressed in all orange or all brown. All white would be easier to comply with. Many fans will already have the white outfits. I would not be buying an orange shirt & pants or brown shirt & pants just to see the game.
