Re: Congratulations Stu Wilson, Wayne Wilson and Yale
Interesting that the BG team of '84 had two Wilsons; Peter and Wayne. The Yale team of '13 had two Wilsons; Conner and Stu. That's the ticket .. recruit more Wilsons!

Puck handling seems to be one of his specialties:

29 years after Wayne won his ring with BG in Lake Placid, son Stu wins his in Pittsburgh with Yale. Congratulations Bulldogs! You earned it.

Re: jeff jackson not pleased
Ah, I wondered about the Walleye shop and the NC$$ eliminating the competition. As for the beer, none allowed to be served at NC$$ sponsored events. At the Albany Frozen Four in 2001 every one of the 17,000 seats had a cup holder that said Bud Lite, and every Bud Lite logo had been covered with a bl...

Jordan Samuels-Thomas
Got back from Toledo in time to catch Jordan Samuels-Thomas score on the power play for Quinnipiac. Not sure if he's picked up his "D" at all, but he still has a nice touch around the goal.

Re: jeff jackson not pleased
Yup, ticket prices, Easter weekend. NC$$ is all about the $$. No way most local families would attend at those prices. I totally agree with Jackson about the "media" time-outs. Terrible. Breaks up the flow of the game, stops momentum and is alien to the type of play that got each team to t...

Re: Toledo Regional
Was also at the Huntington this weekend. Good to see so much Orange and Brown. My annual rant with the NC$$ ... lower the ticket prices for the regionals! Empty seats don't sell hot dogs or look good on TV. Offer some deals to groups including youth hockey teams! Anyway, the Huntington Center was a ...

Ha, I was working for OSU when the dictate came down that we were now "The Ohio State University" ... burn all of your current stationery and change your business cards! Caught a lot of crap at conferences that year about such pretentiousness. I can give so many more examples of Michigan e...

Any time you hold a team to -17 rushing and lose, you have some major problems.

Re: the decates
During the welcome home reception for the '84 team, Jerry York said that the goal was to focus on winning another national championship as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, it soon became apparent that the athletic department was more interested in planning anniversary events than investing in the...

Re: Mental Floss's list from yesterday
I think I've said it before on this forum and I'll say it again. This is the only hockey playing country that would allow this to happen.

Sorry rood ... we need to see an audiologist. We're not hearing the same thing. One doesn't win an Emmy and become the first media member into the US Hockey Hall of Fame by accident. He's always been one of my favorite broadcasters and I'm proud that he's a Falcon (I'll forgive the other degree from...

Plans for the arena south end?
I happened to be on campus yesterday, so stopped by the arena to see what was going on .... mostly painting. Years ago we took another couple to their first hockey game at BG ... the fellow sat down, looked up above the zamboni room and skate shop and said "What's that, the campus dump?" I...

Re: WCHA finalizing details of revamped league
"Christopher said Air Force, a member of Atlantic Hockey, likes "being in Atlantic Hockey, it makes it an easier path to the NCAAs." I thought that might have also been an advantage for BG had we looked East instead of West.
