Re: Thanks guys - from a BSU fan
Loved talking with you guys this summer about the differences between our programs. I got a better understanding of MAC scheduling issues
. I used to think that Boise's isolation was a bad thing for our program. I'm not so sure anymore (though it is hard to get teams to play in Boise).

I've really enjoyed talking with you guys about our respective schools. Hopefully, as the game gets closer we can start talking strategy a little more. Your team came into Boise last year and played us as well as anyone did (especially on the Blue). Fortunately fo us, our defense was able to bail us...

You're right about Boise being dominated by Boise State football. Boise has a population of about 200,000 but the metro area is almost 600,000 (almost half the population of the state)-- and you have to drive at least 6 hours away to find a bigger city (Salt Lake or Portland). We have all of the min...

FWIW, I don't think we EVER got anything near the 750K you mentioned that OSU pays out...it's a funny thing that I'd never thought about before, but OSU playing a MAC school virtually every year for the last 12-15yrs. or so actually saves THEM money, because they can argue that our costs for travel...

I'm paying about $425/seat for season tickets for nosebleed seats on the 20 yard line (about 5 rows from the top). This is for 7 home games. Starting this year, all seats that are not in the end zones (or the corner of the end zones) are considered priority seating and require membership to the Bron...

Home and Home with Boise, Minnesota, Wyoming, and the likes should allow us to average 15,000 in my opinion. The financial problem seems to be, from my viewpoint, is that you can't make enough from one or two 25,000 seat sellout (est. $250,000) at the Doyt to cover the season's gameday expenses. I ...

The MAC (or Bowling Green, however you care to look at it) wanted out of the two home games that BGSU had under contract with Boise. That's a pretty big distinction there. We've always been under the assumption/news that the MAC has shuffled us around and taken away our contracted games with Boise ...

Boise State fan here. For the record, the game in Doyt between BGSU and BSU was moved from 2013 to 2009. You guys still have to go back to Boise one more time in 2012. The MAC (or Bowling Green, however you care to look at it) wanted out of the two home games that BGSU had under contract with Boise....
