Re: Teo Redding
The XFL isn't bad. Less gimmicky than the original iteration. I loved the USFL when I was a kid. I'm open to spring football for sure. I like the rules and transparency in the broadcasts, also. I find it interesting that even with the "running-clock" games still take about 3+ hours. That ...

This is good news for Dylan Frye. I hope it works out for him.
If it is difficult for the coach, oh well, that's why he's paid a super-normal salary--- to manage things that are difficult.

No coach in the MAC should make over $400,000. All these programs hemorrhage money and if your coach is any good he’s going to leave anyway. No football coach, or player, anywhere should make over 400k. Every football coach and every player should strive to make as much as anyone is willing to pay ...

Re: New NCAA ruling
A couple of thoughts on this. It's basically just capitalism and free markets at work. It generally will take what's going on surreptitiously, and make it visible. The traditional powers will continue to get the top-shelf athletes, only now they will get compensation directly from boosters who will ...

Re: What happened?
I'm not on Facebook and Twitter is a fetid sewer, so by habit, I still come here and check in. Based on the posts in this thread, I think that there are probably still a lot of old-timers doing the same.
It's still nice to connect with fellow alums. . .

It will be my wife and two kids, brother (also an alum) and his wife going. I still can't believe this match up is actually taking place. Full confession that I have been a ND fan since I was 8. Now 45, I never dreamed I would have to choose between my school and my "team". Once the game ...

Re: 2019 MAC Preseason Poll
Maybe we should drop $28M and build something like this: https://thebiglead.com/2019/07/22/lsu-football-locker-room-pictures-video/" target="_blank Given that we're never going to be that, Flipper is correct. School, community, education, opportunity to play. . . And I'm not part of the Mo...

Re: UConn will need a home
From what I understand, Uconn football has a mess on its hands in 2020. They will have 8 open dates they need to fill and there are no FBS teams with any open dates in 2020. Seems like they'll need to have someone take them. . .

HFS...Drew is reporting that over 80 candidates officially applied for the assistant positions!!! Six of them are from TommyG, though. I don't care who you are, that right there is funny. Not really...Schaedenfreude isn’t funny and he definitely doesn’t know as much as he thinks he does. Tommy G, I...

Make sure you book the right Rochester. We always have stories about people wanting to go to Minnesota ending up in NY.
