According to the Cincinnati Enquirer: Miami, Wichita State and 22-9 Buffalo – like the RedHawks, a member of the Mid-American Con- ference – were the only three teams with RPIs in the top 50 not going to the NCAA. Miami was the only team with an RPI in the top 44 not to get in. Teams with the No..40...

According to Charlie Coles:

“We’re the ninth- or 10th-rated conference, and we never get anybody in,” Coles said of the MAC. “The excuse was made that Miami didn’t dominate the conference. You got to dominate the conference? Or do you have to win it?”

Northern Iowa over Buffalo or Miami ... total crap.

I would say there is less of an argument this year than in the past, but once again the MAC gets screwed.

I heard a rumor that Matela is caving in and getting married sometime this year. The girl must have fell in love with his moves down low.

Does anyone know who the mystery man is they have in place for Keith McLeod in this mug shot?

Looks more like Demetric Shaw than McLeod ... that's a stretch too though.

Some of the best basketball I have ever seen were the legendary Anthony Stacey vs. Wally Szczerbiak matchups.

It was the MAC's version of Bird-Magic ... I'd still take Stacey over Szczerbiak any day!

Found some information on CB Chris Wright, who was also Middletown's quarterback. Looks like he's a big-play guy. From the Cincinnati Enquirer: Speedy Middletown senior quarterback Chris Wright is a candidate for most dangerous offensive player in the Greater Miami Conference. He came into the game ...

Another I use to love about the former Sideline Squad back in the day is when they would mimic opposing coaches. I remember when the worst coach in the history of D-I basketball came into Anderson Arena (that's Greg White to anyone who is wondering) and use to throw his tirades at the refs, the Side...

Something original .... copy the coach. Dakich rallied his troops back in 2001 by pulling a Kriss-Kross and wearing his suit coat backwards. I think BG won its next eight games after he did it. Got a lot of press too, including a New York Time article. Why don't you crazy cats wear your rally suits,...

Klassen is perfect for color commentary. I wish we could get Len Matela on the air with him because those guys were two goofy bastards when you got them together off the basketball court. Funnier than hell! Klassen does a DEAD-ON Dakich impersonation. Had me in tears.

Brent Klassen

I heard Klassen was at the game tonight. Does anybody know if Cowboy is still hanging around BG? Would love to get ahold of him. I thought it was pretty funny Dakich went out to nowhere, NEB. to recruit him ... then I started dating a girl who is from a town right by him. Western Nebraska is the cra...

I don't know if you guys caught my above post, but the Ohio kid is

Brady Minturn, standout Loveland defensive lineman, oral commits to Bowling Green.

Senior 6-6 250 Second team all-state, first team all-district, two-time Enquirer all-star. Had 73 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

UC also got a good one when they signed Byrd's teammate Dominick Goodman out of DI state champion Colerain. Goodman (6-2, 190 lbs) was quarterback and rushed for 1,985 yards. He originally was going to play basketball at Findlay before he changed his mind. Wish BG could have swooped in before UC got...
