Re: Three sign their letters on intent today

Our post recruit Abby Siefker of Ottoville got off to a great start in her first two tip off tourney games. Totaled 26 in easy win over Van Wert making 11 of 13 from the field and 4 for 4 at the foul line. Followed that up with 11 in the championship game when Crestview slowed the game down to try ...

Re: BG vs Purdue Tickets

This could get ugly real fast this year.
We are nowhere near what we used to be right now....hoping to keep it under 15 but I suspect it will be around 20+.
Eek.

Alexis Rogers--best BG player ever?

Is she the highest rated player that BG has ever had?
Top 50 national player out of high school----Transfer from Duke and the diva coach Joanne P.

Thoughts?

Re: quick thoughts on next season

Alexis Rogers may be the best recruit to ever wear a BG uniform.

She's fantastic. the MAC should and will dread facing her.

Re: BG v WMU

One sure can be very positive and look at it like..."well, just another bad game." Well, how many "bad games" will we have? To me we aren't as good as we thought, and it's very clear now. Bad losses at Evansville....bad bad bad loss today at WMU. Toledo and Kent are games we can'...

Re: BG - UT : Game time

The gap b/w other MAC programs and BG has now been closed. BG has got to be able to get more dominant inside scoring...from a dominant big. Our offense is just way too predictable anymore and other programs have been able to key in on it. MAC Tourney or bust now...for sure. WE do have a gem in the w...

Re: Samarie Walker leaves UCONN

It's being rumored on other boards that she is looking into BG or Xavier.....time will tell...but some of the people in the know around Dayton are relaying that info.

Samarie Walker leaves UCONN

One of the best nationally out of High School from Dayton...left UCONN yesterday. Story from ESPN says she couldn't provide the time and energy at UCONN. Hmmmmm Wonder if she plans on returning to Ohio....and if so...when and where will she play? This could be a great pick up by BG....as I don't see...

Re: MAC season starts for Volleyball!

Maybe its just me...but i'm not happy with where BG is at in it's current Vball flux.
Seems as though they have taken a few steps back....5-9 thus far with some suspect losses.

We've never been able to get over the hump....one good season...then a few bad seasons....it's just not consistent.

Re: BG Recruit Noelle Yoder

Seen Yoder play the past 2 seasons at the state tournment---

I did not come away thinking she was a D1 player. She can shoot well from the outside and can drive but her speed will not overcome any tough guards in the MAC.

She will see some action, but I think it may be limited action.

Re: The Women's team is gonna be great this year

I wouldn't lay claim to being great this season....
BG is ok, but they are not great by any means.

The girls have a LONG way to go, esp after today's loss.

Re: BG - Marist Game Thread

This is really a bad loss for us. This is a loss that will HAUNT BG come March. To be up by 15 pts in the first half and to lose....not good at all. Maybe we have set higher expectations for this team than what they truly are. No inside game will make BG lose games. Case closed. Most of our losses o...

Re: Sad news and a question...Sherry Kahle

There are a lot of Kahle's from Putnam Co, esp Kalida and Ottoville.

Sherri was from Lima Bath, about 25 southeast from Kalida. She may have been. Not for sure.

Elena Delle Donne---great interview

What a great story! For those of you who followed the stories of Elena Delle Donne leaving UCONN...transferring home to Delaware...this sort of fills the void and makes me really appreciate her!
