Re: @/vs. Western Michigan (10/13-10/14)

It’s shaping up to be a very long season. As is tradition with BG hockey, the wheels usually fly off after the holiday break.

I’ll call the season now: start slow and fade.

Re: vs. Northern Michigan (2/18, 2/19)

Lose the special teams battle and you'll lose most games. PPG and SHG given up tonight. The parents last night were mentioning that the biggest issue with Eigner is the lack of accountability for things like bad penalties during practice and off the ice. Night and day compared to Bergeron. The disc...

Re: What to say...

BGSU should be an East and MAC contender on a regular basis. BG has been consistent in their inconsistency. It’s a curse of inconsistency, really. How many programs can honestly say they couldn’t win against a 3-year winless team (v. MiAudi, late 80s.) The inconsistency seems to be far more polar i...

Re: Jim McElwain or Scot Loeffler

Are you saying that BG’s football program was even with Central Michigan football program in regards to culture, operations, recruiting et al in 2018?

No rational person can make that case.

Agreed. I like the east. There was a time when BG was switching divisions I felt a little like Istanbul.

Re: Seen enough to decide

Urban inherited a team from Blackney who could recruit but lost his edge to personal issues. I would like to note that as a key difference. It was a similar story when Blackney took over from Ankney. If you all recall, Blackney performed BETTER than Urban his first two years at the the helm going 1...

Re: vs. LSSU (2/12-13)

I would like to understand the power January first has on BGSU’s men’s teams. Do they start playing poorly when their balls are cinched seeking warmth?

Re: @ Quinnipiac (12/18-12/19)

What do you think of the elbowing penalty? I took another look on the 55” frame by frame. I’m not 100% on whether there was contact but I’m !00% sure the QU player tried. The was definite upward movement with the left arm and lead with the elbow. That’s what the ref saw. In the heat of battle, it w...

On my small iPad and below average eyesight it looked like a good call - elbow to chin. I could be biased though.

Re: @ Quinnipiac (12/18-12/19)

Watch on ESPN anD it’s the first time I’ve seen this team play. The team speed was remarkable. It reminds me if the teams back in the late 80s with Emerson, Blake, Potvin, Maia, Truck.

I think some kid named Eigner had a few minutes on those teams too.

Awesome weekend.

Good. I despise MiAudi and don’t relish losing to the RedHawks (nee: politically incorrect mascot.)

It was a nice channel. The announcers were well-informed and complimentary of BG. It was a good feed.

Rallied to win d3. 14 unanswered in the 4th with a fg in double OT.

Everyone should remember this name: Quintell Quin. Big and fast running back for Desales. He’s an OU commit and is the real deal.
