Re: If you were the Coach/AD what would you do differently?
They need to get away from trying to hire “fundraisers for ADs. Hire someone who can bring some accountability back to the department in all phases and focus on reconnecting with the community. Christopher got all this credit for getting the Stroh Center built….literally 95% of the money was donate...

Re: Buffalo
Someone get Rec Center Bob to fix the shot clocks. Maybe Ya Boy should replace that geriatric scorer's table crew. So, have you figured out that there were some equipment issues, or do you just want to blindly abuse a crew with strong history and strong relationships and mutual respect with the on ...

Re: vs. Miami (3/2)
I have no idea how Owens talked his way out of that basket counting at the end of regulation. I agree Huger did not step up in that situation and argue for our team. I think Fields still would have got the ball off even without the slight hiccup of the clock. Probably with 0.1 or 0.2. What garbage....

Re: BGSU needs to win us back
How can you possibly link this to alumni giving to any great degree? Why isn't money continuing to flow in from all of us that were around for the wonderful years of football, hockey or any other sport that we were interested in? I certainly agree with all of you that were impacted by a wonderful en...

ToledoStudent - don't mind these guys giving you a little bit of the business. I certainly appreciate the information, and it is only appropriate that you stick up for your coach (or at clarify facts).

Re: Your FIRST Stroh experience!
Factman, I have to agree with your points. I do know in talking to the project manager that the sound system will be better tuned. One of the bugs that they will work on, but have not had things/crowds, etc., in place to tune in yet. But it will be fixed, as it at least has that capability. Your poi...

Re: Future construction plans for on campus?
The work in front of the Administration Building is just to clean up the mess caused by tree roots, and a tired set of pavers. It will just be a simple set of new sidewalks and some landscaping to clean it up. There is also some clean up going on by the Fine Arts Building, behind the new Chiller Pla...

Re: BGSU's Cochrane Field to add lights
The project has just been bid out - the contracts will still need to be written and the materials ordered. You will not see any of the poles out there for at least a month. They may start some of the electrical power work, but most of the material will be long-lead items, so it will take some time y...

I wouldn't say that she saved it. All of you who let her know how important it is to the University and the history of Athletics, actually saved it. I am just glad that she was smart enough to understand the repercussions it would have on the Athletic Department (and the political consequences for h...

Re: Future construction plans for on campus?
I have to say that I find a number of the comments very interesting. Since the State Architect's Office was not real consistent in terms of design with the major growth in the 60's, they did get up a number of ugly buildings. There is no doubt about that. However, now that there is some effort to up...

Re: Is there another phase of the arena renovation?
What you are referring to as Phase II, is actually the final expenditures from the Phase I money. Phase II dollars (which have yet to be raised) will focus on the interior upgrades. Not to split hairs, but I think that it is important for folks to fully understand the situation, and not be holding t...

Re: Is there another phase of the arena renovation?
My understanding is that Phase II was to include things like additional seats or special seats at the south end, potential chairbacks throughout the arena, upgrades to the pressbox, new scoreboards, etc. I do not think that they have raised much money yet, which will certainly delay any project work.

Yes, there is an elevator for the public use in the northeast corner of the building. And yes, the lower urinal is specifically required to meet ADA requirements.

Re: Not Trying To Be Negative - But I Just Don't Understand!
Like the opening said, I am not trying to be negative, but I firmly believe that an issue becomes where we want to put our money, and football takes a huge chunk. Look at AKLR and Gonzaga and Butler - no football, and AKLR and Gonzaga have both mens and womens teams in the tournament. Here is hoping...
