Re: BG hosts CMU
You are probably right. This team relies on Kohler and Donahue a lot. Woods is helping out some. But generally the third person that has a good night is someone different every game or maybe no one. Like this game where Moxey who usually is a personal foul machine comes out of a 2 ppg season and has...

Re: New QB Coach
Just a correction. Bryce Underwood did not play for Bloomfield Hills. In fact he was a long, long way away from that tonie suburb. He played at Belleville which is by the beautiful shores of I-94 between Ann Arbor and Metro Airport.

Lourdes
BG with another 100, winning by 24. This one, however, was competitive for at least a half. Lourdes led after the first quarter and still was in it at half. I did not see the game, just followed along on stats for awhile. Lourdes was unbeaten although mostly against their own conference. They did be...

Re: Kentucky State laugher
I am still down on Chmiel. He's really only got Donahue and Kohler who can consistently score. The MAC season will tell the tale for this team. I am not expecting much. But surprise me!!!!

Re: vs. Aquinas College (12/7)
Ball State won its first two games in the NCAA that year beating Oregon State and Louisville before losing to eventual national champs UNLV in a close one. Their games were often in the 60's or lower. Paris McCurdy was the main guy but I looked up their stats and nobody average 12 ppg. 3 players in ...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2025-2026
Iowa State is hiring Washington State HC Jimmy Rogers as their next head coach. Thats confusing to me? Thats a better program? Not sure if it's a better program, but definitely in a better conference with a higher ceiling. Also, Jason Candle to UConn? As a BG fan, I was hoping he'd stay at UT forev...

Re: Kentucky State laugher
Women beat up on the Div II Thorobreds 103-32. They lead 27-0 after one and 55-8 at the half. Gotta think holding them to 8 for a half is some kind of record or close to it. According to the writeup on BGSUfalcons.com it is in fact a record. The old record for low points in a half was in 2015 when ...

Re: Great Alaska Shootout
I have a close source to the team that has provided me with some intel over the past 6 or so years. To the point made about the assistants doing very little in the game… they really aren’t “allowed” to. To the point on Achter which my source has reiterated many times… that roster requested that Ach...

Re: Great Alaska Shootout
I've said it before here and I will say it again. I have Jennifer Roos vibes from this hire. Do well with the former recruits from the very successful predecessor and then crash and burn on your own. Coach Fred is still living a little bit off the past as Donahue and Gerken were original Fralick rec...

Committed and signed -- 5'11" G Mar Segura from Spain. Should have the other 2 commits signed sometime soon.

Re: vs. Bethany College (11/6)
On Thursday night, our Falcons (1-0) will host Bethany College, with the game tipping off at 7:00pm. It'll be available to stream on ESPN+. I can't tell you much about Bethany. They're a D3 school from West Virginia, and they haven't played a game yet - their schedule also actually lists this game ...

Re: BG hosts Wooster 114-35
A blowout from beginning to end. I was a little surprised for the starting lineup. I didn't see the game but did follow the stats a bit. BG had 33 steals and caused Wooster 42 TOs. 5: T. Ellis, dominated Q1. I think she may have had a double-double in Q1. 19 points and 12 rebounds in 16 minutes ove...

Re: Coach John Gruden & BG Swag
He either did some research, or somehow has a mind like a steel trap. Dude named basically every single big name BGSU athlete in like 5 minutes lol Yes was impressive and interesting. A lot of stuff that will go somewhere. He missed Butch Komives and Bernie Casey but had about everyone else includi...

Re: 2026 Recruits
Missed this one til today. Apparently 5'6" PG Sophie Alexander out of Victoria Australia committed 10/3. Not much on her. Described as fast and a good defensive player. Played in the AUS Under 18 League. Will not be 18 until next February.
