Re: Enough is Enough
The O, the Q and the W for that matter have no bearing on NCAA hockey. The NCAA does not allow them to play, because their $250 week paychecks make them "pro". It would be funny as s**t to watch the Whalers come to BG and beat the falcons 18-1 with 16-18 yearolds. As far as recruiting goes...

Re: 'Bleacher Creatures Intimidate, Inspire'
the new creatures are kid friendly. The effort is commendable, and it is a new tradition, reborn. The originals were however intimidating. "One might wonder what they are addicted to. Led by a costumed, skating Falcon by the name of Freddie, and the redoubtable Bleacher Creatures, who wear ghou...

Re: Enough is Enough
My perspective highly differs. The University swore to make moves to do the best by the program. 4/12/2010 Greg Christopher announced the hiring of Chris Bergeron. We all know Greg was the same guy willing to cut the program. His none retention of WIlliams, is highly suspect. Now when you look at th...

Re: Enough is Enough
Its time to bring Dennis Williams back. He is a head coach, and has dominated in the NAHL, since having been unjustly removed and not even given a fair opportunity. These coaches have had ample time to show us what they can do, and here is the list: 1. Bring in recruits that are sub average 2. Bring...

Re: Enough is Enough
Should BGSU lower the Football and Hockey Programs to D3, as they should, BG may be competitive.

Re: Where Are We Bowling?
Estimated pay out 1.2 million The Current system 600k per conference 180k right off the top goes to the MAC 420k divided 14 ways =30k per school BGSU is now estimated to have 170,000$ in expenses to play the Little Caesars Bowl. $140,000 if you deduct BGSU's whooping 30,000$ take. I Point being a su...

Re: Where Are We Bowling?
So 1970, if i understand you correctly, you would kill every non-revenue sport because they lose money and thus every sport would have to be cut because of Title IX and the requirement to have equal men's and women's sports. So you're point is to kill all college athletics? Just seeing if I have yo...

Re: Where Are We Bowling?
Hey, lets try this again. I am opposed to spending money to go play. There is NO WAY spending 50k,100k or more to play in football game helps the team, or the school in any way. The athletics teams at BGSU operate on shoe string budgets to begin with, playing in one of many feel good bowl games is f...

Re: Where Are We Bowling?
Not sure its a good economic decision for the team to go to a bowl. This game will cost BGSU money to go play in. Any where from high 5 figures in to the six figures. It may just be best to be content with a MAC Championship. I sure hope the University provides transparency on this, as programs wer...

Re: Media Deal for the nWCHA!
deal is with Fox sports 1 and go the mobile ap I would hope, or find it to be a good opportunity for Athletic Dept to partner with the communication dept and really try to make a quality product. investing in a couple HD cameras, tying in the wbgu audio feed for play by play, and making it an opport...

USHL top prospects, Muskegon MI
This is the best of the best folks. It features Thomas Ebbing BGSU recruit-NHL prospect (2013 first year of being draft eligible) a few other notes: Ryan Coulter, the Ontario native, may go to the OHL Erie Otters next year, to prepare for his NHL future. Time will tell on that front, but it is a ver...

Re: Penalty Call At The End Of FS Game1
I do not see the issue. The officials called a good game. 13 P, 7 on Ferris, and 5 on BG. I have no problem giving him the benefit of the doubt, as he has moved on from participation as a player and is now an official. I also trust that there is enough objectivity in the officiating group to listen ...
