I'm not sure what "whatbgshouldbe" s affiliation with the program was but Tim Beckman was respected by most players. As with any orgainization, some liked him and some hated him but he was and is a very good coach and I wish him success. Coach Beckman worked hard at creating a family atmos...

I never thought Akron would be a threat but they did win the MAC so I hope they light you guys up.

Go to the game and stay at the Ritz downtown. It's near the casinos and it's easy to get to the stadium. The Motor City is not as bad as you may have heard, but it's not Disneyland either.

GB was emphatic at the banquet that "he wasn't going anywhere" and that he is here to "win championships" and that Omar should stay. I can't imagine him being considered for anything other than an OC. He has a great offensive mind. He just doesn't have the mind set to pull the tr...

I forgot about the UCF offer to Stud but I think he's at or near $100K as our OC and it would have been a lateral move or step down. I'd love to see him as HC at BG but it won't happen soon. I also think there is no love lost between him and GB. We'll know soon.

[Any basis for this? I have always viewed Stud as a guy that would stay forever whether he was head coach, offensive coordinator, or waterboy]

Stud is a professional coach. He loves BG and I certainly can't speak for him but I think he may be ready to move on. [/quote]

Factman, the player was talking about how cold it gets in BG compared to FL then he remembered the recruits and made a comment regading being part of the football family. He was very emotional. A lot of the players thought is was very last minute. No highlight tape of each player, just something tha...

Beckman left for a 200K job. He assists with game planning. He will be OSU's DC in the next 3 yrs. Lovett truly is "Luther" from coach only not as bright. There are no members left on the team that actually played for UM or under his system. Another issue. There is a reason our coaching st...

Brandon will be here until he is asked to leave. There is a reason he coached 22 years before getting an HC shot.

Omar . . . Who's he going to throw to if he stays?

I forgot to mention, the food sucked. Leather chicken and frozen rolls served buffet style. It was bad even for university standards. No wonder the Pres didn't show. (had another commitment).

I went to the banquet and what Coach Brandon said was "This is not the Omar Jacobs going away party". He mentioned Omar, and staying, several times, as if he was hoping it's true. If Omar is a third rounder or a first day guy, he is gone. An agent will send him to a workout facility and he...

I like Brandon. He is a good guy. He has a great offensive mind. He is not, however, a head coach. This is the last year of Urban's influence on the team. The last few recurits are leaving. BG is in trouble. Brandon disagreed with Urban on discipline and player relations. The "four quarters of ...

I forgot to add, Bowers was the one who recruited Timchenko, a JUCO transfer from CA, and put him on scholarship, after allegedly seeing him kick.

Bowers is a joke.

Read the posts. As previously stated, going out to dinner with your parents or having a beer is one thing and partying is another. Teams don't change 2/3's of the way through the season. Some players played, some didn't. The attitude of the players on the side line and Brandon's comments after the g...
