Re: @ Akron (2/11)

I doubt Huger gets final say on what is released to the media in this situation. Sports Info bears that responsibility and Jason Knavel’s approach is always to release nothing and hope it goes away.

Re: @ Akron (2/11)

Will it be fair to criticize the coach for losing his 2nd leading scorer, a senior he recruited, on a team in first place with 8 games to play? Or is Huger still immune to criticism? 100%. I don't think he can definitely take all of the criticism because we have no idea what happened but there is s...

Re: Dylan Frye Leaves BGSU Basketball

One person makes a joke (a very innocent one at that)....Not one person has said anything even close to criticism about the kid or the situation and people still get overly sensitive....many of you really need to toughen up a little.

Re: Halfway Point: WCHA & PWR Update

If you’re going to play an awful WCHA schedule...then maybe stop scheduling Atlantic Hockey opponents for an extra 3 or 4 games a year. You’re likely going to have to go on the road, but if the team is as good as they think then go beat some teams and earn an at large. You can hang you’re hat on bea...

Right on pace for that 3rd place finish! Clear out another spot in the trophy case.

Re: Bemidji

Minnesota State made it last year as an At-Large bid............stop making excuses. We've lowered the bar on expectations it makes me :vom: :vom: . Stop settle and F**&^*(% expect more and you'll get more even as a fan. You can raise the bar on expectations all you want.....it’s not going to c...

Re: Bemidji

Yeah at-large bids are tough to get when 1/4th of your games are against teams that finish the year with 5-9 wins. It’s better for BG Hockey though...if we’d have joined the NCHC we’d be bottom dwellers and Bergeron would have been fired 3 or 4 years ago. At least this way the program wins some game...

Re: MAC in bowl games

Not sure if the MAC has ever really been relevant nationally in Football. It is getting more irrelevant by the day. A forward thinking group of ADs, Presidents and MAC Officials would begin to look at life without FBS football. Eventually the MAC will be forced out, either by an inability to fund pr...

Re: MAC in bowl games

MAC football is borderline unwatchable. I don’t even waste my time anymore. Even when BG has been good the past decade, 90% of the MAC wins came against opponents who should have been playing at the FCS level.
Now our program is one of those teams too.

Re: Loeffler status?

He should be at BG full time. Spin it however you want, but he should be focusing 100% on BG. It’s not like Boston College is even in one of the bigger bowls. Jinks did the same thing and I said it was a bad sign back at the time. I find it ridiculous that our AD would even allow him to think about ...

Re: its Cleveland State DAY!!!!!

I’d say there is no chance you’d see another coach fired with years left on their contract. Not unless they are ok to use Frack’s money for a buyout. Of course we're ok with that. Ensuring we have some of the best coaching in the conference at all times is probably the best use of that money there ...

Re: @ Ferris State (12/7-12/8)

That third place trophy cabinet is getting pretty full. Just be happy that you’re in a mediocre league and are having some level of success. You could be in the CCHA still and finishing 8th-12th every year. At least in this conference you have a chance to win the tournament and get a NCAA bid. Event...

Re: Predictions!

Calm down big guy. I was just stopping in to say hi to all the hockey fans and give my prediction. I'm sure Bergeron is a great guy. I just have never seen a guy sign 10 extensions in 8 years.
