Re: @ Ohio (12/20)

Given BG's all time record in Athens was 29-46 going into this game, I'm more than thrilled with getting the road win. Through the years, trips to southern Ohio have rarely been successful for men's basketball. This team has some serious talent and is fun to watch. Are they good enough to actually w...

Re: @ Ohio (12/20)

"Pretty clean I don't know" on a foul where Kuanny bodied Wol pretty thoroughly on a dunk attempt. Even on review they announcers are denying objective reality. What are they looking at? Let's remember: for ESPN+ these are basically people who are in the stands that the network drags out ...

Re: vs. Northern Michigan (12/5-6)

Even with 3 different coaches over the past (I don't know how many) years, it seems like BG has this propensity for losing one or two home games each year against teams they should never, ever lose to. So, it's deeper than who the coach is; something is off here.

Re: Signing Day 2026

Well, if Toledo's coach takes the U Conn job, they'll be losing some players via the portal, for sure. I wonder if any will end up at BG...since these two likely recruit a lot of the same guys. Also...did anyone else watch Eddie's press conference on signing day and notice him taking deep breaths af...

Re: @ Kansas State (12/1)

So glad to see Towns producing like this. I've carped forever on both the football and basketball forums about BG ignoring the greater Columbus area when recruiting, and watched as OU, Miami and Akron have reaped the rewards of bringing in top players from this area. Columbus has some very strong sp...

Re: Toledo is coming

That was an outstanding game. I love what is happening with BG football right now. They won today basically with a lot of scheming and smoke and mirrors. Hopefully, Eddie can take this momentum and kill it in recruiting to keep things moving in the right direction. Not sure any other BG team comes b...

Re: at Louisville (9/20)

Okay, all I'm seeing today is an undisciplined team that lacks coaching in fundamentals. Not what you want, even with a first year coach. The special teams play, in particular, has been abysmal. And this offense is going nowhere without a QB that is a legit passing threat. So far as I can see, there...

Re: 2025 Baseball Season

This season of great promise ended with a whimper as BG lost to Toledo and EMU in the same day. Both games were high scoring, and BG came up short in both of them. Hopefully, with some better health and the growth of youngsters who were thrown into bigger roles -- next season will be better. The pot...

Re: 2025 Baseball Season

BG has (mostly) solidified its 4th place standing, although getting any higher in the standings will be a tough task. But they've played pretty well, considering they've been without two of their best players for most of this month. Some of the youngsters have been stepping up, and keeping them at l...

Re: 2025 Baseball Season

With yesterday's loss to Ball State in a slugfest, BG is now 4.5 to 5 games behind the Cardinals and in 4th place. BSU also had 3 games in-hand, which means they've played 3 less at this point. There are only 10 games left for BGSU, so making up that difference is unlikely. The good news: BG is very...

Re: 2025 Basketball Portal

Trey Thomas is the 8th Falcon in the portal. He has eligibility? Even with the COVID year, that doesn't add up. I don't get it either. He's played 5 full seasons counting the COVID year. At this point they probably just figure the NCAA doesn't know or will cave regardless. Didn't he do senior day i...

Re: 2025 Baseball Season

Ugh. Lost 2 of 3 to Western so BG is now in 4th place in the standings, although if you factor in games played, they're 2 games out of first. Given how inconsistent they've been to this point, the goal is probably to make sure you finish as high as possible in the standings and hope you can get hot ...

Re: 2025 Baseball Season

BG salvages the last game of the series with a win Sunday. That was probably a much bigger victory than we'd normally believe, given how early in the season it is. But since the series was at home for BG, it was imperative they get at least one win from a team that it would appear will be battling i...
