Re: Thoughts- UT fan Capt. Obvious
For my $.02... Yes, I was impressed by Johnson's poise and awareness. He had great pocket presence and puts the ball on the money. What impressed me most (and makes me believe that BGSU will have a successful season going forward) was the offensive line play. It was obvious that there was a lot of t...

Re: Tailgating in Nashville
BBQfoodie??? If you are a BBQ foodie, then you have to go to Jack's on Broadway for BBQ.
sorry to hijack the thread...but your name necessitated a reference to Jacks.
That is all.

Re: Overall Gameday Flavor on UTK Campus
Most UT fans simply refer to their team as UT. There are some who will refer to them as UTK...but it is an extremely small minority.OrangeHammer wrote:I live in Alabama. Heard it called UA plenty of times. Also UAB, UAH- etc. and Alabama is called UA. While many Auburn fans refer to themselves as AU.

Re: Tennessee Two-Deep
Game Notes for the Tennessee game are up. Volunteers starting running back is listed at 6'4" and 240 pounds. He's bigger or as big as all of our linebackers and a couple of defensive lineman. Sounds like the guy from Pitt we faced in the bowl game two years ago. We couldn't stop him and that w...

Re: Overall Gameday Flavor on UTK Campus
Always thought some of the Tennessee fans that call their alma mater UT-K is dumb. You don't hear Alabama calling themselves UA-T or Florida UF-G or Georgia UGA-A The university of Tennessee system has had multiple institutions that were referred to as "The University of Tennessee" at wha...

The SEC Network is also on Sling TV for those of you who are cable cutters using a streaming device at home.

Re: New Uniforms out on Twitter Later today (July 27)
Both BGSU and UT switched from Adidas to Nike in July. I'm looking forward to seeing some sharp looking teams on the field in Nashville on Saturday.

Top Offensive Lines in NCAA 2015
Wasn't sure if this has been posted yet, but apparently sports illustrated listed the top 30 Offensive Lines in college football today. Bowling Green comes in at #30. Impressive...

Re: Tennessee Roll call....
I didn't think Pitt fans were that bad. I stayed in town and went out to dinner and then to some bars in Oakland wearing BG stuff and had nothing but good natured ribbing and congrats. Va Tech fans were the best I have encountered. I thought Nashville was great for the game. But, after visiting Kno...

Re: Tennessee Roll call....
Any tips for bars or restaurants in Nashville? We won't have the gear to tailgate, but would love to meet up with some other BG fans. You need to focus on Broadway. Lots of good bars there with great music. My personal favorites for food (provided you like good BBQ) would be Jacks or Rippy's. Rippy...

Re: Could BG get screwed over
Not heard anything about this, but I'd guess UAB would be the one getting screwed....if UT wanted to back to them, my guess would be that BG would demand a large buyout, deservetively so. #-o It is an interesting quandary. If UAB is not able to fulfill the contract, they have to pay UT $925,000. UT...

Re: 2015 Season Opener Announced
The BGSU news release indicated that our original plan was to host South Carolina State in the opener, but that they "backed out." So, when Alabama-Birmingham decided to shut down the football program, we jumped at the chance to fill the hole in the Vols schedule, and in ours. Put another...

Re: 2015 Season Opener Announced
Does anyone know why this game isn't being played in Neyland Stadium? Main reason? Show Vanderbilt who owns the state. Reasons the Volunteers will give....play in an NFL stadium, let fans who don't normally get to see Tennessee football experience it, good for recruiting. It would be cool to play i...
