Re: vs. Fairmont
I do not get what we are doing sometimes. Against smaller opponents we are playing elsaaser at 4. We were terrible when he was on the floor. When we put two true posts out there we dominated. We get in moments we need to score and we put non scorers on the floor. We got into a press moment and subbe...

Re: New direction
While I agree completely. My point was more that we can find a person who could be that but I also would like someone who can build something that sustains and changes the revolving door at coach. And I feel like one reason there are a lot of ebbs and flows now for mid majors is recruiting is becomi...

New direction
Wanted to throw out an idea. With the new chance to hire a staff and select a direction, I wonder if it might not be a good choice to not only hire a new coach but adapt to a new scheme. The spread helped mid majors compete with the major conference teams. It yielded gems in recruiting and diamonds ...

Re: Non-Conference Schedule Released - #PATHETIC
I will not disagree that this schedule is lacking in marquee matchups at home. I will say that if the goal was to find games that would put us in a position to be competitive, and win games early with a young team I get it. The road games are against good competition and I think the hope is to grow ...

Re: 2016 Schedule
I agree it is odd. Worse for the team as those dates are on xmas break (I believe) as well so I would think students and most others wouldn't be there or able to be there. Strange, perhaps a clerical error.

Re: 2016 Schedule
That's what my initial thought was. But the tournament is the bill frack challenge and that seems to be a sat sun mon in November. This seems to be just two regular games being played during midday. Odd.

Re: 2016 Schedule
Does anyone know why there is a game in December on a Thursday at 12 p.m. and a different game in December on a Friday at 2 p.m. listed on the schedule? Flipping through old schedules and the only scheduled time I can find that is similar was Fri Jan 2 2 p.m. Buffalo 2003 but it didn't appear like t...

Re: Big Announcement!!!
I think the big deal is that people have complained for the last 4-5 years that the schedule hasn't come out before season ticket packages have been available. As I have said to the ticket office, if you want to bring in new season ticket holders you need to let them know what they are purchasing. A...

Re: Big Announcement!!!
I would bet that it has to do with the schedule... But after the Jans issue I'm ready for anything.

Re: Holmes goes down
It really is unfortunate that he is going to have to overcome this injury as he was having a good summer league. 9.7 points 4.7 rebounds 1 block per game. He shot 42.3 percent (11 for 26) overall. 13 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in 18 minutes on Tuesday. He looked a bit nervous on offense w...

Re: Non-conference schedule news?
No doubt. I am glad that it is the last thing on their mind. My point was speaking more toward it happened in the Louis Orr years and it just seemed odd. Like I said I am glad they are working on the more important things. Just hoping that it will get on track and in the future announcements would b...

Re: Non-conference schedule news?
It is a bit crazy that they year in and year out do not make it public until late summer who they are playing in the non-conference for the upcoming season. Every year we have to renew our season tickets without even the slightest idea of who might be coming in to play. Not that it is ruining my sum...

Re: Denny not going anywhere!
If true that would be excellent. While a little undersized he is a tremendous worker on both ends. He was a sneaky good rebounder as well.

Re: Holmes looking like a pro...
I would think with his shot blocking ability and ability to move well on defense will give him a shot at getting drafted as a second round guy. In today's NBA with so many teams utilizing a stretch 4 or even a stretch 5 he should be able to guard guys in certain rotations. His offense would need to ...
