Re: @ Mississippi State (9/24)
D line has gotten solid pressure and a few batted down balls. If they can do this against an SEC Oline, they should have a field day against some MAC schools.

Re: Ladies & Gentleman, BGSU Athletics...
As of 2 hours before the game, the ticket windows on the east side of the stadium were not selling tickets. A person was literally being paid to sit in the booth and show people a map to the ticket windows on the west side of the stadium.

Re: And so it begins ... Pac 12 commissioner wants to break from NCAA
I am sure this is correct, but at some point it will take 30 million plus to pay for the roster and coaching staff. It would seem that at some point the football team will have to disconnect from the university and run as a private organization? Will the alumni shell out money for a team that isn’t ...

Re: And so it begins ... Pac 12 commissioner wants to break from NCAA
Couldn’t agree more, I love what college football is: tradition, rivalries, amazing locations and really just the connection you can have with a college that you attended. I never would have expected it to go away during my lifetime and am bummed my son won’t get to experience it. Perhaps it is my h...

Re: The final Great Realignment of College Football?
OU has had success against SEC schools as a one off bowl game, BUT that is going to be different with a weekly SEC grind. Will make a bigger difference how they divide the teams up, if it’s just east/west that would favor OU and UT (Bama, auburn, FL and GA all being in the east) I would argue that t...

Re: The final Great Realignment of College Football?
The thing that surprises me about the UT and OU move is that it seems short sighted. Will they make more money annually via conference money, yes - I have seen 20ish million or so. BUT, you are sure to lose more games, at what point do the fans and big money boosters get less excited about 8-4 seaso...

Side note, I love when they show the games on the local PBS. Nice to watch the game and be able to cheer from home.

Re: College football is broken
I would love to see some variety in the teams making the final 4, but in reality this has always been college football. The same teams tend to dominate. I looked at the AP poll winners by decade to see if there was better variety of winners “back in the day” the answer is yesish 1950’s - 8 different...

Unrelated note - the past two night the football stadium lights have been on, any idea why? Football practices? Seems like a waste of electric to practice under the lights, when school hasn’t started yet.

Well I am not sure my analogies were pathetic, I acknowledged they were not perfect, it is interesting the bathtub got brought up. When your infant/toddler took a bath I assume you stayed close by? You know, to prevent them from drowning. No one would argue that life is not full of inherit risks, bu...

Re: 2020 schedule changes to come?
@rougewarrior, reading your posts made me ponder a moral type question, just wanted to get your take: Let’s say you are walking down the street and you see a kid not paying attention and getting ready to step off a curb, where they will be hit by a car Or You know the breaks on your family car don’t...

Teams that also just lost their opening game: Florida Atlantic Illinois State Washington Monmouth Northern Iowa Towson Plus Kent state home/away for fun? Couple semi local options that might work if BGSU really wanted fill the schedule, but if the Big 10 didn’t think it was safe, schools with smalle...

Really interesting article by Briggs https://www.toledoblade.com/sports/college/2020/05/23/briggs-why-toledo-and-bg-football-dropping-to-fcs-is-absolute-non-starter/stories/20200523086" target="_blank Speaks to the fact that FCS seems like a no go for BG or UT. Crazy how much more lowly ol...

Re: James Morgan
It’s great that James got drafted, but he was not playing well at BG. He continued to miss open receives especially on throws over 20 yards. Doege was a great prospect as a true freshmen and the majority of this board was excited to see him grow over the next few years. Yes, the coaching and injurie...

Re: Notre Dame Suite Tickets
Purchased my tickets today for the game, sadly had to get them through Notre Dame, which put their single game tickets on sale today. I would have preferred to purchase them through our ticket office (IDK if BG makes any money off of it, but figured it looked good for us if we sold our allotment) Pe...
