Re: 2025 Basketball Portal

Marcus Johnson is visiting Kansas St. Committed to Kansas State today. I hope the best for him but I feel like he's going to get eaten up in the Big 12. Maybe being on the receiving end of getting eaten will help him shed the weight to not be such a turnstile on defense. More seriously, maybe a P5 ...

Re: vs. EMU (1/18)

Haven't watched the last 3 games. Was busy for 2 of them, simply forgot the 3rd was even happening.

I've been die hard since 1976.

But this...

This is fu**ing TIRESOME.

I may well not bother to check back in for a month or so.

I have never felt less motivated to give a crap about BG basketball.

Re: vs. St. Thomas (12/21)

That was disgusting. I saw the last 8 minutes of the first half / first 5 or so of the second. They were defending Johnson with a 6 foot, 185 pound guard - and it worked. He shut Johnson don. That can NOT happen. Just shoot over the little twerps head. He's 7 inches shorter than you. What's he gonna...

Re: @ UMKC (12/14)

Jesus.

Milwaukee has given MAC school problems in the past, so not too bad there. But IPFW?

Our better teams are losing to people that we used to schedule as auto wins.

Christ.

Re: 2024-25 Schedule

Always pleased to see a home and home that starts at BG.

I remember scheduling home and homes with big ten teams in the 80's and 90's and having them cancel the home game for us every darn time.

Daeqwon signs a two-way with GSW!

He's been kicking ass and taking names in SL, and has gotten himself a 2-way contract with the dubs :)

Re: Next year 2024/2025

Pictures posted by BGSU MBB Twitter account yesterday showed Felt practicing with a large brace on his knee. Honestly I would expect him to wear a large brace forever given the last two years. Just as a safety measure. But the fact he is practicing at all is a good sign. My daughter was at Todd Sim...

They list him at 6;10".

If he's 6'10", then every player in that community college game is 6'6" or taller.

Re: Next year 2024/2025

Reading that really makes me wonder if Towns will actually be starting. IT seems like at Squire, Johnson and Yoyo are likely all better players than he is. And Exante is quite likely the most talented of the bunch. I wonder about Johnson's endurance, given his build. But with this squad, he may only...

Re: Offseason 2024

I assume the two guys they got to return who started last year will start. Thomas started 26 games and Humphrey 13. Towns only started 4 but he is probably our best traditional big. Atleast to start the year. 1 Thomas 2 3 Humphrey 4 5 Towns Watching video Exacte looks powerful and athletic but he d...

Another 24 Commit. 5'10" CG Brook Simpson out of Saugatuck MI, by the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan. First Team Division 3. Averaged 17.5 PPG 3.25 Assists and apparently is good on defense being named Holland area Defensive Player of the Year. Decommitted from Dayton. But missed Jr year af...

Re: Offseason 2024

Looks like a stretch 4... https://twitter.com/PDTScouting/status/1781969106981269562 One thing I noticed from his video is he shoots the three a bunch, has a good passing eye, and doesn't drive to the hoop but instead resorts to fadeaway shots. His first step isn't very quick, so he won't be a driv...

Leaving Towns to man the 5. I'm happy with that. His mobility at the 5 gives us some scheme options. Hopefully this guy can defend even a little.

I wonder if Felt will ever be able to suit up.
