1988….last time BGSU Hockey won a piece of a championship. In college hockey that is almost impossible. Willie will get it done eventually, but program has to get tougher. It’s not the commissioner, the refs, the opposing fans…it’s on BGSU Hockey. You want respect, you have to earn it.

Akron is a tougher program…their facilities are below avg, but they recruit tough kids and coach them hard. BG hasn’t really been tough team since Dakich…Jan’s would’ve got them there. Akron almost always just out competes BG…

Pretty sure Newman is working back from an injury and he’s expected to start pitching again in March.

Williams will eventually win a CCHA title for this program. He’s a good coach and BG got extremely lucky he came back. Our schedule helped us out as we played Kent, Ball State and Central...Those teams were a combined 4-19 in the conference. Western and Toledo were break even...Akron went 3-5. Toledo was our best win by far NIU and ODU were bad losses to take at home...ODU has a losing record and NIU is right at .5...

Obviously the offensive performance wasn’t very good. The key to the game was Miami not being afraid to push the ball down the field in the air. It cost them 2 picks, but burned the BG defense multiple times. This defense is built on being aggressive at the line of scrimmage and works against MAC QB...

I mean you are playing a team without a QB….kid literally can’t pass. They better win.

Call me crazy, but I think this was just another strange MAC game…I don’t think there is a good team in the entire league. Don’t see the falcons winning more than 2 of the last 4…

How this team has a mediocre offense with Stewart, Fannin, and a decent QB is pretty baffling.
