Re: Where's the band field?

Been here all summer and the field is just about ready to have lines painted on it. BTW, it looks like they installed a sprinkler system on the field as well. Let's hope it's not scheduled to water at 4PM :D

Fundies week in just over a week!!! I can't wait.

This season should be fun. I hear that there are some really good shows in the works. I know I already like the broadway show that we just got the music for.

Striving to be obnoxious... Yep, that's us. But don't worry, there wont be any more apple on the euphs. That's been banned due to new uniforms. But the ziggy piggy is what happens at the banquet, not during tuba cheers. As far as I know, there's no problem with that. Especially since we wear our own...

Q:How many tuba players does it take to change a light bulb... A:Five. One to hold the light bulb, and four to drink 'till the room spins. (Next one) A soprano was making love to her saxophonist boyfriend without a condom. Just before her boyfriend was about to lose it she screamed, "pull out, ...

Yeah, but we need to tell the clarinets and flutes to play louder, you can't hear them on the DVD. The only woodwinds I can hear are the pics and saxes. :D That's suprising. My dad sits in the top row which is only a few feet below the cameras and all he could hear was the damn flutes. I say we go ...

And as for woodwinds in the rain, we don't ever do it except actually on the field for performances. In the stands and for practice, they're away. With the way our music is arranged, it wouldn't sound right with just brass for a performance, much as I know many of you would like to argue. :P Some b...

Personally I despise dancing drills as much as I do park-and-blow. I see no point to either one. Also I do agree that MB is supposed to be a teaching tool. I learned more about classroom management and pacing from my last year in MB than I did from my Ed Psych class.

As a maggot I can say that Quigleys are still done, but as Flicc said they've been moved to after rehearsal. Yes the maggots still hold a majority of their traditions, but we'll see after this year. Yes, there has been talk among the higherups about killing the name "maggots", but we'll se...

You know that some team is going to end up getting screwed with the scheduling. Also, good luck on getting the Big 10 to allow one of their teams to play at a MAC site. There's just too much money to be made by the "lesser" conference team for the Big 10 to go along with it. Though I do ad...

Not much you can do with that though Metz. Especially since school is technically not in session... at least not around the MMAC.

You have to be somewhat messed-up in the head to spend every afternoon of the fall semester with a 50 lb. brass instrument on your shoulder... but I guess that could just be the metal polish talking. :P
