BG's climate makes it impossible to sustain a playable bluegrass surface. Sorry, it's either field turf or grass. The climate in Denver is that much different? Don't know much about grass but Denver is much warmer and drier than this area. Not unusual to top 100 in summer and 60s even 70 in winter....

And your definition of irony is...

Note: Big Bird looked worse than Charlie Brown last night with that kick.

It might also be a good idea to require that you buy a couple hoops or hockey tickets for every season ticket purchased. Perhaps games during winter break for hockey and hoops or against low interest teams would be an interesting idea.

It would probably be a good idea to offer a package deal with discounts on season tickets for Football, Basketball (Men's and Women's) and Hockey. In addition you could package buy; meaning for every season ticket you buy for Football you'll receive the option to buy Men's Basketball for half price....

Re: Who's going to Flordia International game in Miami 9/16

We have 4 going - flying down for a long weekend. Any guesses on how many will we have there? We only had about 200 at the Boise game last year - mostly parents. However, at the game a couple of years ago in Tampa there were over 1000. How many players are from Florida? My guess is the warm weather...

How do you determine if a person is pursuing a masters degree? Don't be so fast to hit that reply button, because I know all of the tricks the students use so it "appears" they are pursuing a degree. You mean like the ones at BG you say they are in the Ph.D. program to get that extra coup...

Really, because which professional athlete has gotten a Masters or Ph.D in history, English, chemistry or whatever and then went back to playing . I'm not talking about coaching or administration, but playing whatever sport. More then aware of the fact that many coaches and administrators have adva...

The comment in the parenthesis is so wrong it's funny.

Its a dumb rule. If you are going to graduate school you should be a graduate student and not an athlete. You have your time as an Undergrad to play sports. Graduate school is for serious academinc and professional training. In fact most programs will not allow you do have an outside job (specifica...

Re: the Mac hasbeens..............

This doesn't change the fact that, compared to the collegiate game, the pro game is just boring to watch. I like seeing creativity in offensive and defensive schemes. I like seeing multiple sets employed to exploit opponents' gameplans. I don't like seeing the same two or three formations employed ...

Hard to believe that Martin Nance went undrafted. Great signing by Buffalo.

Re: the Mac hasbeens..............

Whats with all these former Mac hasbeen's having players getting drafted rather high, and before Omar is getting a sniff. Gregg Jennings is he that good for 2nd round? Dixon from Akron is really that much better than our Steve Sanders and Chuck Sharon. This has been really dissapoinging the last se...

Buffalo is going through a very similar transition as BG did when Krebs and Meyer came to town. Buffalo will get a few wins this year, but will be a force in the MAC in 3 years.

Also, does Coach Hofher want some cheese with that whine? Talk about sour grapes!

It would be extremely interesting if BGSU brought in an AD from the private sector. Have any other D-I schools done this recently?
