What? There was something I was not supposed to recognize?

That is cheating!

Ok, I recognized most of it. :D

Great job!

My family really enjoyed the pre-game and halftime shows! I understand that halftime was a bit more static than normal but what you did you did very well. The dancing was a hoot. I sat on the home side on the other side from the band. Next time we are going to sit on the away side and walk over for ...

By the way, is there a fieldhouse show every home game? If so, when?

FliccGirl,

As fans of Michigan Football both my son and I are aware of the high step and the glide step used. We are waiting to see BGSU's version.

Of course, we are coming mostly to see our daughter (and my son's sister...it just did not sound correct without adding this...LOL).

Visiting this weekend...

My wife, son and I are coming out for the weekend. I can't wait to see and hear the band. What show will we see on Saturday? My son is a veteran of the UConn marching band and basketball pep band (including a trip to New Orleans when the women won the National Championship). He is really interested ...

Matrix,

Maybe I just have to get to know you better, then I can rip you.

Sorry, I could not resist.

I am the father of a freshman at BGSU. She marched in high school but not in college.

Matrix, I agree with much of what you say. Corps are known for certain sounds or looks. What I mean is that The Cavies shows have very familiar musical structures. I could be blindfolded and know that they were playing. Is that a bad thing? No, not at all. But if they do it too long they will be in ...

The Cadets show was supposed to be surreal...and it was. They did do a fantastic job. We did not see the whole program last night. Those who have seen the whole thing are divided whether they liked the show. What they do say is that the show was really clean and precise. The drum line was fantastic....

Here is a link to historic scores for DCI finals back to 1974.

It is fun to look at it. I was at only one finals, Franklin Field in 1976. I saw the Bridgemen all fall down flat on their backs at the end of the show! Great fun!

After the Music is Cool show at the Meadowlands:

Cadets - 96.850

Cavaliers - 96.050

Only other corps that is close is the Phantom Regiment with a 94.9

This should be an interesting finals.

The Cavies perform on Friday and The Cadets perform on Saturday. Pretty much everyone is at Allentown over two nights. It is good to see The Cadets great again this year. They have not been a real competitor for several years. It is also the Crossmen home turf. Both corps get great receptions in All...

Thanks for the review. All of the big corps are practicing in the SE PA and Lehigh Valley, PA area today as they are getting ready for the Eastern Classic in Allentown. I am hoping to slip out of work and go watch the Cavaliers. I can't make it to Allentown this year but I hope to be able to be in a...
