The word is turd

ffejfalcon wrote:What's the line on the Terds vs BGSU?
Please stop referring to the Toledo team as "terds". I say this not out of respect for Toledo, but out of respect for the English language. They are turds, not "terds".

The colder the better, I say! Cold weather adds to the authenticity of the football-watching experience. I hope I freeze my arse off.

Using games from the past to determine the future is just so wrong. I don't see how that can be avoided. If we can't use results from past games to determine who goes to the playoffs, how else can we do it? Play another game, you say. But once the game is played, it's in the past, too. Should we th...

I can go!

I thought I would have to teach a class tonight. But I've managed to reschedule it. So now I can go to the game!

I'm so excited, I just had to share that with all of you.

Suisham News

While researching kickers for my fantasy team, I came across the following: "Rick Herrin, of the Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys PK Jose Cortez's play remains a concern for head coach Bill Parcells. Cortez made two of three field-goal attempts, missing a 41-yarder on the opening drive Mon...

Re: BG Sports Fans - let's get our iTunes feed back

Using iTunes, Airport Express, and a set of powered speakers allows me to listen to my music collection and internet radio (through iTunes) anywhere in my house. This, until lately, included WBGU. Now I am anchored to my computer and my listening experience is greatly reduced. You might be interest...

Best I've ever seen

I'd say that Jacobs, Pope, and Sharon are the best players I've seen playing for the BG Falcons. But I came to Bowling Green (from New Zealand) only a year ago, and prior to that I hadn't seen any American football at all, let alone any Falcons games.

How much college football have you watched? :coo-coo:
And how much time have you spent in college? "Irregardless" is not a word. (Though "irrespective" and "regardless" both are.)

I don't see why the loss should hurt Omar's chances (which is not to say, of course, that it won't do so). It's not always the case that a QB on a winning team is better than one on a losing team. Right?

Did Losing Pope Hurt Our Defense?

Clearly, BG's defense was outclassed against Wisconsin. But maybe it was exacerbated by Pope's early departure. Without him in the game, BG seemed to adopt an almost exclusively pass-oriented offense, which was exciting to watch, but didn't consume much time, and hence didn't give the struggling def...
