Re: 2019 Schedule Release
That was completely unexpected. I graduated just after your parents and have made it back to homecoming every year but 1. I don't ever recall it being scheduled before the first weekend of October. I like that plan for the weather. It's messing with my head to have it that early in the season though...

Re: 2019 Schedule Release
Ok thanks. I even debated emailing someone at the ad, but figured that would be pointless. They'll announce it once they decide.

Re: 2019 Schedule Release
You forgot ND
I wonder when they will announce the homecoming date. It will be oct 12th or 19th. I'm in a band that is trying to schedule something one of those 2 weekends so I'm hoping to find out relatively soon

Re: Records and numbers tell the story
I completely agree. I was going to make a similar post this week but decided I don't even have the interest at this point to take the time. Coach Jinks seems like a good, likable guy. The kind you want to root for and see succeed. But for the first time since the late Blackney years, I have absolute...

Re: Georgia Tech
I don't get why we don't throw deep more often. They've had some success already this year and it can only help the short pass and rushing game. It actually seems to be a strength of this team with 2 tall outside receivers and a QB that throws a nice deep ball.

Re: Maryland football in a state of utter chaos....
The player in question was Aaron Richardson. He was a walk on and became ill at the beginning of his first practice. It was discovered later he had sickle cell anemia. They were running interval sprints when he became ill. He was taken to the locker room and 911 was called. He was declared dead at t...

Re: Seating changes
Not to mention the donation made that was designated for that endzone seating specifically for the band. I like the band where they are. Moving them isn't a huge deal to me but bailing on that donation for it's intended purpose is a bit of a letdown.

Thanks! I have it but on the menu it says "signed off" I guess that's why it didn't come up on the menu search.

Re: Student Section
Nope....I refuse to believe (accept?) that I could have marched with 2 people who are now parents of a college student! Nice try there 3rd grader! ;) One of the hardest parts of building that kind of atmosphere at a school the size of BG, where there are big up and down swings for most sports, is th...

Another Cleveland comparison...Eric Ransom comes to mind. Unfortunately we didn't get to see much of Ransom but he was another fast, big play game changer.

So Michigan, Florida, Virginia Tech and Oregon St should all be FCS now. Gotcha.

Re: Coach Jinks Labor Day Press Conference
I work with his high school kicking coach who says he has great leg strength and is surprised he doesn't put it in the endzone nearly every time. I remember Babers saying last year that his kicks can be very tricky to field. Still, i would think you would be better off kicking it deep against a team...

Re: New Kicker
I wouldn't count out Nick Fields just yet either, but this looks like a good pick up. You don't want to count on just 1 kicker and I don't know that we had much else other than Nick until now.
