I agree that his number should have been retired. I was a freshman when Butch was a senior. He was the nations leading scorer in an era before the 3 point rule. Anderson Arena really roared that year. Its hard for people to believe that you waited in line to get into the arena. What a display he put...

I was at that game with our now Mayor John Quinn and the late Marty Smith. I have a signed program from the game from Coach Joe B. Hall. It was a great experience for all of us. Coach L got us great tickets behind the Bg bench.

I saw the same thing. Clements had just been taken out of the game and was sitting on the bench. As play continued Coach Jackson stood up and walked in front of him and confronted him. Clements got up and walked behind the bench took off his jersey and went to the locker room. I have to admit I have...

I graduated from Troy in 1963 and my brother in 1967. My mother was a secretary at the high school. I was there in one of the "golden era's " of football. Bob Ferguson had just graduated and Tommy Vaughn and Tommy Myers, the "Tommy Guns" were our heroes. I worked one summer at Ho...

We will have our hands full with Oakland. There is always extra incentive for this game since Coach Kampe played for the Falcons and applied for the job. I have also heard that one of our freshman has been ruled eligible. Not sure when he is able to play.

I was at that game in 1963 as a freshman. I believe that Jim Goings ran the kick off back and the headlines of the Toledo Blade were "Goings, Going, Gone"! Lived in Rogers and it was great to just walk a few minutes from the dorm to the stadium.

Chuck Conner was one of my track coaches at Troy High School. In the 1963 yearbook there is a picture of him wearing his Bg letterman coat. He was a great guy to work with and often told stories of he and Bernie.

Wisconsin Football Ticket Price Change

I got a call today from the ticket office saying that the price listed in the football ticket order form was wrong. The price was to be $35.00 and not the listed price of $39.00. Had to go out and rewrite the check. If you have not mailed in your form I thought this might help

Howard Komives

I was a Freshman in 1963 when Howard Komives was a senior. There were about 9,000 students on campus. This was the era when we had to stand in line to get into Anderson Arena. Komives was the nations leading scorer in an era before the 3 point line. He was just amazing. He also set the record for th...

Depaul Job

I read an article today in the Chicago Sun-Times that Richmond coach Jerry Wainwright is the front runner for the Depaul job. The A.D. mentioned they hoped to make the decision by Thursday.
