SPECIAL TEAMS ARE KILLING BG
1. Stoopid idea for a trick play on the opening kickoff. We don't need to resort to that stuff to beat OU. BRANDON'S FAULT 2. Blocked punt #1. POOR PLAYER EXECUTION for not blocking AND BRANDON for using a punt formation that puts 4 foot gaps between the linemen. 3. Missed field goal. POOR PLAYER EX...

From Omar's POV, I don't see why he would stay another year at BG. Its not like he could be on a National Championship team (Leinert) or has to prove himself after a serious injury (Deangelo Williams). I think that Omar came to college as a catalyst for making it to the NFL, and not for the educatio...
The reason that the fans make such a difference in a game is because emotion and momentum are so important in college ball. The visiting team must always be self-motivating while the home team can feed of the emotion of the crowd. That being said - I think that if OU can come out strong and build so...

Interesting to think about....I agree with getting rid of the of the schools like Buffalo that are not commited to successful athletic programs. As much as I dislike CFU though, the other coaches in the league would love the exposure that having a team in FL brings. I'll bet that is why C_USA brough...

Great research! I agree with you that parity in the MAC is a good thing. It really is exciting to see the BG offense roll over the Directional Michigan's and all, but I would much rather watch a conference game played between evenly matched teams. Now that Marshall is out of the MAC, I can honestly ...

Crunching MAC Statistics
STAT#1 - Can't help but notice that the MAC is 10-20 in non-conference games, and with the addition of the mighty Owls next year, that stat will be even more bleak. STAT#2 RE: Miami vs Cincinnati - the guys calling the game said that, in addition to Betts and Martin Nance, Miami also starts 4 senior...

Brandon is not going to resign or get fired in the middle of the season. The focus needs to be how we can salvage the season with the team and staff that we have now. For example, is an open call for an extra point kicker out of the question? Next, can the coaching staff work on getting some intensi...

Plan on every team that BG plays the rest of the year to run the ball 75% of the time. Thank goodness we don't play Garrett Wolfe and NIU this year. On the bright side, I wonder what the NCAA record is for most consecutive games without a field goal attempt? Who out there thinks that BG will attempt...

I really wish I could refute what you just said...but I can't. Being a Bengals fan for decades, I KNOW how to spot a team without a spark and that is the kind of team BG is. On defense, there is nobody on the field that is stepping up and getting in the face of the other players. There is no ball ha...
