Did you happen to catch Senior Bowl practices on ESPN all week leading up to the game? I thought it was pretty well-known since it was broadcast for a full week on ESPN, but I should know better...you guys are the ones that know more about the draft than I do. Your point about hte book is a good one, But come draft time he is more journalist than scout. His ratings change with what he hears not wha he sees. That is a Journalist. Do you really hate when people claim that about Kiper? How often do people do that that you can actually have an emotion for it...

Mel Kiper is a scout before he's a journalist. He scouts players. In the mid-80's he was even offered a scouting job by an NFL team and I believe he did it for a short time.
