Re: 46 years and counting.....long live 1968
Three years without even getting to Cleveland to add to the misery. Not to mention TWO home losses in that mix. To me that's the real kick in the pants! This conference is "all about the tournament" and Coach Orr always under achieved in that aspect! Call Dan Dakich! (kidding... sort of...)

Re: Hopgood Suspended
Whew! You read in the paper where these situations go VERY wrong all the time. Minors get "hooked up," don't know how to handle it, and someone is seriously injured or killed. Too much alcohol or a MVA. Then we aren't just talking about missing a game or two. Man... Luckily nobody was hurt...

BG sells tickets to its sporting events? Who knew? Judging by attendance it's the best kept seceret in NW Ohio.

What. I look for "The Apostrophe" to ramp up the three-point shooting in 2012-2013.Globetrotter wrote:I would rather see Seally at the 3 and starting but that really hurts our outside shooting.
(Anyone else cringe when he does that?)

Re: Possible starting 5 next season??
My money's on: 1) Crawford; 2) Kraus; 3) Sealey; 4) Calhoun;and 5) Black. I like Henderson, Orr and Clarke in the backcourt off the bench (very worried about the 4 and 5 depth). I think Clarke is the real deal, but I also think you have to limit the amount of time he and Crawford are on the floor to...

Funny. As soon as the horn went I said John Groce won't be back at OU next year. The Big Eleven is gonna come knocking. Bleeev That.OptionQB wrote:Once Illinois fans realize that Virginia Commonwealth is a better job and Shaka isn't coming . . . John Groce is going to get PAID!

Re: Let's consolidate our rants...
Enough said. I was pro Orr until last night. There is just no excuse for that. None. He had more talent. He was at home. He wasn't prepared. He looked like a fool.BleedOrange wrote:We just lost at home in the post season to a team that lost 20 games.
I would ask for his resignation today.

Don't hate the bracket
While I think the format is weak, I kinda like the way it shakes out.
Gotta beat CMU and should beat Toledo. Then OU and Buffalo. BG can play with 'em all.
Not too upset that we miss Kent and Akron (Cleveland is like a home game for them).

Re: Coach Orr Pros and Cons
My 2 cents: I'm on record as pro Coach Orr. This team is "in the mix" in a very tough MAC East. And they really are fun to watch. I really think this is one of the more athletic and explosive teams I can remember. We are a game behind OU and Kent. If OU didn't pee down their leg on nationa...

Re: Even with win, BG can no longer gain bye. 5/6 seed onl
The Big East does it. They're a 200 team league, and the top four teams get byes into the quarters. The lower teams have to win five games in five days to win the tourney. Guess I'm alone on this one. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that 4 teams are essentially getting 10 byes. It screams...

Re: Even with win, BG can no longer gain bye. 5/6 seed onl
Yes, that's essentially what they are doing, and yes that's probably what should be done. What? Why? This is a weak effort to argue for an NCAA at large bid. Now in the back room on Selection Sunday we can say, "look at X team. They had 20 wins, were the #2 seed and made the confrence tourname...

Re: Even with win, BG can no longer gain bye. 5/6 seed onl
It might sound like sour grapes - but this year's tournament format is garbage! A tripple bye!? A freaking tripple bye for the #1 and #2?! Then double byes for the #3 and #4! Shouldnt' the #5 and #6 get single byes then? Why not? Holy crap! It's a 12 team league and you are giving 4 teams TEN free p...
