I assume you can tell when I was at BG from my username. We had some pretty good football and hockey teams during my tenure. Basketball team did make the NIT's one year too.
I worked in the Visitor Information Center out by the Doyt when it was still a pre-fabbed wooden shack with solar heating and a port-a-let. But it was a good place to study between visitors! Lived in the old part of Kohl Hall my first two years and then off-campus my last two. Really enjoyed both experiences. Got to watch our hockey team win it all in 84-unfortunately we were on spring break at the time.
Brian McClure was our star QB but I always thought Stan Hunter was a better player. Stan and I both majored in Finance and shared several classes together. I know he played Arena ball for a couple of years after college but I don't think he was ever offered a NFL contract.
I had some classes with Avon Davey and Keith Taylor form the BB team. Both of them had great personalities and man could Keith shoot!
I was almost part of the Manville Madness riot but left before the bonfires got too crazy. I remember when President Reagan visited campus in 84. We looked for Secret Service agents for days before the event.
I loved my time at BG and really need to make a trip back up there soon.
