I'm a new user here, so I figured I'd do this before I forget. My name is Tom Martin, and I'm a sophomore here at BG, majoring in VCT, and a minor in marketing. I'm originally from Hudson, OH, which is about 15 minutes north of Akron. I originally didn't wanna come to BG at all, cuz my grandmother lived here, and my dad went here, and I felt that I didn't wanna be around my grandmother the whole time. I also figued I wanted to major in Journalism until I took a course my Junior year called "Multimedia Technology", I instantly realized that journalism was not the way to go. Besides, I hate writing, so that wouldn't work. I immediatley began searching for a program that would fit my needs, and so when I visited BG, my dad showed me around the Tech building, since he was a Tech student, and I found the VCT program, and well here I am today, loving every moment of BG, and love being a Falcon. I love this place with all my heart. Go BG!

Great to see you posting Tom! You need to get back on the marching band field though next year...the more trumpets the better :P

Tom, Remember what your HS band director always says, "loud is good". After coaching LAX at HHS for years, I can verify that by my attendance at FB games.

Oh so Class of 61, I take it that you had the unpleasent and unfortunate nature of knowing Zartman, the most hated band director in all the land, and my least favorite teacher in HS period

I lived in Stow for about a year and drove through Hudson everyday to get to work. I think your downtown area is awesome!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I have heard that joke about a million times, lol, no one gets it at first, then they realize what my name is and put two and two together. I always thought it was creative
