Who is this "Goofyeuph?"

Post by goofyeuph »

For those of you who may, or may not know me, I am Chris Chomic. I am a 4th year student here at wonderful BGSU, studying Music Education. No, I don't know when I am graduating. My goal is to do so by the time this decade is out.

I have spent 4 great years in the Falcon Marching Band, where I play the Euphonium*, hence where part of the sn comes from. The rest of the sn comes from a nickname I picked up several years ago on Boy Scout Summer Camp Staff, "Goofy". I've served two years in the Athletic Band. I really enjoyed playing in the FMB, and supporting BG football. My other favorite sport is Hockey. Not a huge fan of Basketball, not violent enough and it's too warm. I'll take a sport where they lay down ice and give you stick to go beat the other guy. Always support BG sports though.

Other than that I am also in the music frat here, Phi Mu Alpha (not to be confused with the BAND frat, Kappa Kappa Psi).

I hail from good ol Shelby Ohio, which is near Mansfield, which is halfway between Cleveland and Columbus on I-71. Can't stand the Buckeyes, never could, never will. Since parents are U of Mich grads I grew up a Wolverine. To answer the next question, I always, ALWAYS root for BGSU, don't matter who's playing.

Thats all I can think of. I've had a blast with this site, and hope to see ya'll around BG. Go Flacons!!!

*Euphonium...um Baritone....um.....it's like a small tuba!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I am one of those people who do not. I like to play hockey but have no real interest in watching the sport. On TV or at the rink. It's fun to play but I do not find it fun to watch. Several other freinds of mine who are hockey players feel the same way. I went to a lot of the games went I was at BG but to me it was never as much fun as football or basketball.

Had you been there back in the day, BGSU Hockey was THE sport to watch and the Ice Arena was THE place to be on a Friday or Saturday night.

I believe ya, I still went to my share. I'm just not a big hockey watcher. I get bored with it.

Bored????? Are you serious? I guess you haven't been to a game recently.... Seriously, please consider giving it another shot. The ND game is going to be a BIG one, especially with Blake and Emerson at the games. The team will be playing their butts off in front of a BIG home crowd. If that atmosphere doesn't get you sucked in nothing will, and I will not bother you again, I will turn my attention to try and convert others!!!

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEP NORTHERN!!

Hey, we can't all love the same things. For me it is football for you it is hockey. Don't get me wrong I like the sport and know 95% more than the average fan but it really does not keep my attention to watch. I have kind of lost interest in it. As far as watching games now, it's way too far for a sport I don't like to watch. I'll let you cheer for me FalconFanatic.
