Alright, I guess it's time for me to get on this here "bandwagon" of member bio's.
First off, my name is Christopher Strouse and, well, I'm a freshman at BG, and I am loving every minute of it!! I call Troy, Ohio home (about 20 minutes or so north of Dayton, just under 2 hours straight shot south on I-75.) Anywho, I am a maggot in the FMB!! :D I made it through the first season without any sort of brain damage (to the part of the brain I have left that is! )
I just recently transferred into the college of education and human development to become a Math Education Major. Possibly in the near future I will add a music minor to that, but we'll see. Anywho, I've been on here reading posts since I first found out about this site sometime in the fall, and I just really haven't found anything to comment on, so that is why I only have a few posts. Oh well!!
Oh, almost forgot something...I too have broken from the "cursed" mindset of "OSU is the greatest college there ever was/is/will be." My mindset is now filled with Falcons beatin' the h3ll outta those d@mn nuts!!

Welcome to a fellow Trojan! I just have to say, though, that if it takes you almost two hours to get home, you don't drive fast enough. :D I feel cheated if it takes me more than an hour and a half.

Troy town is my hometown also. My family still lives there and I do a lot of work in town and Miami County.

It isn't known as the "Land of Milk and Honey" for nothing.

I didn't even know that it was known as the Land of Milk and Honey!! I just know it as the Home of the Nationally Know Strawberry Festival with the World-Wide Famous Strawberry Donuts(sp?)!!! :supz:
Or at least known in England as well as here in ohio... :? oh well!!!

I gotta admit guys, I have been to the Strawberry Festival once in my entire life...... and that was enough. I was a sophmore in High School when they started that thing and it never really did anything for me.

Now you want to talk about the B-K Root Beer stand or K's.....MMmmmmm.

I haven't found a place anywhere else that matches up to the BK Root Beer stand or K's...both are one of a kind places!!

Whenever I was working the Dayton area back in my traveling days, I'd always stay at the Hampton inn in Troy. I didn't rally like Troy all that much, I just really hated Dayton...

i don't know if you've been back to the troy area recently, but the city has grown alot in the past decade, (it seems as though mostly in just the past 2 years!!) There are a lot more places to eat as well as a lot more choices of hotels. With a super walmart, and a meijers, as well as a lowes just down the road, Exit 72 (i think) seems to be the place to stop before you get to dayton (or northbound, Lima) Anywho...enough of this...I'm done posting on myself...
