Hey everybody, i've been a azz member for a while so I figured its time to introduce myself.
I'm currently a junior at BGSU studying in Visual Communication Technology, minor in marketing. I grew up in the small town of Wapakoneta, OH (about 1 hour south of BG). Wapak is the home of Neil Armstrong and the nickel payphone. Wapakoneta is essentially BG without a university (right by I-75, flat lands, railroad right through it, middle of no where) A lot of Wapakonetaians (lack of better word) have come to BG, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of you knew someone from there. But I love Wapak, I grew up there my whole life, and I hope to live somewhat close to there when I settle down.
I'm sorry to admit that i grew up a Buckeye fan (my family's fault, not mine), but ever since I've been here at BG my heart belonged to the orange and brown. The scarlet and grey never even cross my mind anymore. I still hate Michigan though (right up there with Toledo).
I started out mostly as a football fan, but my falcon love has spread to all BGSU athletics. Kinda like a Lays potato chip, you can't have just one. Basketball, Hockey, and Baseball I all tend to follow closely now.
I think BG athletics is on the brink of something big. I've been here for 3 years now and in those 3 years alone I have begun to see a transformation in our school. The national regconition that wasn't there 10 years ago (so I've heard) is here now right in front of us. Games on ESPN, College Gameday at the Doyt, BG women in the NCAA. the win @ Purdue, the Sebo Center. I've had the chance to experience all these things during my stay here in BG. And it's looking to be a great senior year next year.
I am as proud as ever to be a Falcon these days, and I'm glad I've got a place like azz.com where i can share my thoughts with people just as crazy about BGSU athletics as I am.
