Why do some forums have this link and others do not?

I was just coming to make a post about this too. It seems that, at least in my case, only the "Mostly Free for Many" forum does not have it.

**edit** Add the "BG News & Views" forum to that as well. Perhaps it is just the "new" ones?

Hey, you're right. I hadn't noticed that.

The 3 new forums (BG News & Views, Mostly-Free-for-Many, Recruiting) do not have this link. Is there a threshold of topics that must be attained in a forum before the link becomes visible? I like to click this link each time I leave a forum so that any of the topics I didn't read (through lack of interest or otherwise) are marked as read, and then when I visit the next time, I can see where the new posts are located.

huh... dunno. I'll look into it though.

I noticed now, since I was absent for a week, that I don't have the option to "Mark Topics Read" on ANY forum now. Not a huge deal. I just really like having all the buttons gray when I have consumed enough Falconry for the day.

Interesting... because I now have the ability to do it in even more forums. Once they get a "second page" then I get a mark as read option at the bottom of the pages.

It does seem to be missing from the main page of the board for me though.... to mark ALL forums read that is. Hmmmmm

OK, it should be showing on the main page for everyone now... I still see it in each sub forum. Are others NOT seeing it?

I see it now. You are correct that the subforums must reach two pages. I guess the system decided that if you don't have that many topics, you just need to deal with clicking all of them. Thanks, Grant, for your attention to this.

I was looking for it at the top of the page...I didn't even look at the bottom...my bad, sir.

I think I'll add it at the top as well when I get the chance. The last upgrade of the board software broke that modification I had made. I'll have to un-break it.
