Suggestion

Post by Lord_Byron »

Maybe you could make the thin lines between posts/sidebar have a little more contrast?

It may make the boards look a little less 'run-on'.

WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree here. The horizontal line between the posts of a thread needs to be orange or white instead of black/brown. I can't see where the next message being very easily.

You guys are having trouble seeing the bright orange buttons that say "Profile" "EMAIL" "PM" and the like??

The "line" between posts is actually the dark brown background of the page and it isn't likely to be changed. Plus, I don't see a problem with it. Maybe you need to calibrate your monitors. (I don't know how to do that, it just sounds pretty cool). ;-)

See MACBBS!

I was referring to the seperators between the pane on the left as well as the seperators between each post. See the attached from the MACBBS for what I am referring to. They use a thin orange line between everything which breaks things up to make them more readable.

Grant, they're talking about the lines that separate each post in a thread. Remember when I mentioned to you that it would be good if they alternated colors slightly? Like one post be dark brown, the next be a slightly lighter brown, then dark brown, then light brown, etc.

It would separate the replies a little better. It was my only problem with the style, but the template itself didn't work like that, and I'm not sure if it can be changed to do it.

I think it looks fantastic!! No changes to the forums are necessary IMO.

I agree, but I can see how some people have trouble distinguishing one reply from the next one to it.

I'm trying to do my part and have 1,274 "bright orange buttons" at the bottom of my posts. :D

Not quite in Indy yet. August 14th is the big moving day! Spent some time in Findlay this weekend, and a much-needed nap and busy parents kept me from lunch in BG. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like my next trip back there will be until November, *IF* I can get a couple days off to get to the UT game.

Funny thing is, there's a billboard on I-70 East in Richmond, IN for the Tractor Pulling Championships next month...made me feel a little closer to home!
