I hope we can get this game, it would be a shame to see that four-run lead that slipped away late come back to haunt us. We've lost both our MAC road series to EMU and CMU so far this, but we did win the first game in both of those series. Either way, we've gotta win this series with the Zips.

suspension.
Horrific collision between Akron left fielder and shortstop. I was watching
the game from home plate area. Happened in foul territory along left field
line. Both players taken to hospital. One was able to walk into ambulance, the other had to go in on stretcher. One on stretcher went into convulsions
immediately after incident. They did seem to stop before they took him. WE
ask for your prayers. Thanks.

I got home to the west side of Cleveland today from Cincinnati and it has been raining steady and I'm sure they were getting it in Akron too. This, coupled with the injuries and darkness setting in all probably led to it being suspended. Man that is a shame those players were injured. I hope they are okay.factman wrote:Why was the game suspended? Was weather a factor? Normally injuries don't cause a suspension of the game.
