BG came away with a victory in a must-win game today, beating Buffalo 12-3 on the road. This was only our second win against a MAC East team this season and it broke a seven-game losing streak in the conference. BG is still likely faced with needing to sweep this series to keep any chance at the MAC Tournament alive after going just 1-8 in the last three MAC series. But today was a nice start. Hopefully we can get back to our winning ways tomorrow and Sunday and also get some help from other MAC schools this weekend. We also need Mother Nature to help us get the games in too, we need to play and win just about every one of them. One game at a time......
NOTE: The entire rest of the MAC was washed out today (all five other MAC series), so everyone is now scheduled to play a doubleheader tomorrow. Not only does BG have to win, we need some help from Miami in its series against Ohio and from CMU in its series against WMU. Both OU (7th) and WMU (6th) are in front of 8th place BG.
