Is there any chance he will return to the BG baseball program?

I don't know. He's an EMU alum, so I would think he'll stick with them for awhile.

That's great news. Just what the program needs after a disappointing season. Hopefully, he can help shape some of our hitters. Now if we only had some more pitching. Lost 1 to the draft & 2 transferring out. Go BG! :P

People at EMU spoke very, very highly of him and his impact on their program in a short period of time.

Their loss is apparently our gain.

I'm glad he'll be back with BG! Great news! Does anyone on here know why Hoiles didn’t play at BG and how he ended up at EMU? Did we not recruit him? Did he want to play elsewhere? Just wondering......

Garret Kloots ended up transferring to Wingate Univeristy in North Carolina.

I don't claim to know all, but I think he initially went to Eastern to play football (probably walk-on). The baseball coach then asked him to try out for his team and the rest is history. I don't know any specifics. He was all-state in football as a RB...but not baseball or basketball, in which he was very good in both.

Basically, it is my understanding that Coach Platzer, didn't think he was good enough to play at BG.
Chris is also being inducted into the Orioles HOF in the very near future.
