Old tennis courts area questions

I know we are building the new tennis facility in between the baseball and softball facilities. But what I haven’t really paid any attention to or heard of though is what is going on with all the old tennis courts by the ice arena with the new ones being built? Also, what is being done with the space from the older set of courts that actually sat next to the “then current” courts there by the ice arena as well? I thought I remembered seeing that area being cleared out at one point but I wasn’t sure.

When I first heard of the new track construction project that we are working on in the existing location of the old track, I actually thought it would have been good idea to have built the new track facility in between the soccer field and ice arena where all the old tennis courts once sat (although it might now have been quite wide enough to do so). Right now, the current track locations seems so lost and wide open out there.

I heard it's just going to become a parking lot. I'm of the opinion that you take the area where the tennis courts used to be and you build a new sheet of ice on the back of the Ice Arena. You can utilize the building you already have, and keep your locker room.
