Baseball season opens in 5 weeks...

Hard to believe with all the snow and cold but the Falcons open 2/18-2/20 @Western Kentucky. The following weekend, BG returns to KY to face Murray State 2/25-2/27...then comes the Florida trip.

Here's to yet another successful season and a FOURTH straight MAC East crown...and a MAC title as well.

I'm looking forward to it! While I don't get into baseball as much as I do BG football and basketball, it's right there after those two for me. I really had high hopes of us breaking through for an NCAA Regional last year as we finally made a run in the MAC Tournament. But, we came up short. It drives me nuts how some of our men's programs like basketball and baseball can put together such good regular seasons in the MAC, but then go to sleep when it really counts in the conference tournaments. Anyway, our non-conference schedule looks lighter this year than in many years past, but we will have only 4 home MAC series this year compared to 5 MAC series on the road including 2 MAC East home series and 3 MAC East series on the road.

Should be another solid year, 33. I should be able to make 5-6 games with road trips to Cleveland State and Akron. I'm gonna have get up to BG in May for Kent State. Go up Friday for the 3pm game, get a room and stay over for the Sat game at 1. That should be a huge series for the MAC East.

Thinking of heading down to Cbus to see BG and OSU on 4/20 at 6:35PM. Take the night off from work and head down.

Can't wait to see Bryan High School products T. J. Losby and Levi Fisher. I called games for them on our local cable access. Looking forward to seeing them in the Brown and Orange!!
